Just got an update on my tickets for the Bama game, and kickoff is set for 2:30 PM. Not gonna lie, I'm pretty disappointed.

I get that TV networks control a lot of this stuff, but LSU vs. Bama should be a night game in Death Valley. Period. This is one of the biggest rivalries in college football, and there's nothing like Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night, especially when Bama comes to town.

Don't get me wrong, I'll be there yelling my ass off regardless of kickoff time, but man, I was really looking forward to that nighttime atmosphere.

Anybody else frustrated by this? Some games just deserve to be played under the lights. GEAUX Tigahs!

Seeing QB1 play cleaner and cleaner is great to see going into the bye. Jones remains steady. Having Harris emerge is massive.

I know a lot of people want him to become our DC again, assuming Baker leaves after we win another natty. I'm a little hesitant about this. He's not known as a great recruiter and our defense got worse under him every year. On top of that, he's not known as a great recruiter as far as i know. Just something to think about.

2:30pm is the preferred start time post daylight savings

1. You have a perfect 3-4 hours of tailgating, not 7-8 hours all day and then you are tired as shite by game time but also not too little as is for an 11am game.

2. It is dark by the 4th quarter so you get the “night game” when it matters most, plus the sun is behind the west stadium bleachers by halftime. Sun sets at 5pm on Nov. 7th. With how freaking long ABC games take, the entire 4th quarter is playing in darkness.

3. Weather is usually mild this time of year anyways.

4. The crowd is way more rowdy, in my opinion, at this time. By 6pm-7pm, people are drunk and tired and frankly are more worried about trying to make it home before 10pm.

I remember playing Bama in 2010. It was a 2:30pm game. Unreal weather, sun set behind the stadium and the cool air felt incredible. It went from sunny, to dusk, to night, all in one game. Got the dub and was home by 7pm to relax.

We’re playing Bama at 2:30, and we almost always play well against Bama during the day. They kick our asses at night time. This time slot is a blessing.

We beat them at 2:30 in 2005, 2007, 2010, and 2019.

We also pushed them to the limit at 2:30 in both 2008 and 2009 despite them being unequivocally better than us in those years.

If Baker gets a head job, how we feel about Dave coming back as DC under Kiffin?

the carolinas have a thing for old coaches: mac brown, bill belichick, steve spurrier

we'll take dave aranda back as DC if baker gets a HC somewhere

I very much believe that Blake Baker gets a head coaching gig at a good program (my money is on South Carolina). We will need a DC and Aranda was very successful here. Also has a relationship with Coach O.

Seems like an easy fit.

Anyone have any intel on what the story with Jayce brown? Imagine this offense if he was what we all thought he would be!! Also does anyone else feel like we are about to roll on bama!?!?!

In the SEC, LSU is first in both.

Ohio State is the only other team that is top 10 in both nationally (6th in defense, 10th in offense)

last year LSU was 27th in Total Defense and 111th in Total Offense

Tiger fans remember that one well. We are also all over this chart for the right reasons !

tried telling you this three days ago and got downvoted into oblivion, but hey, more games have been played since then, maybe this boards hero Trinidad has proved me wrong, lets look at the numbers now

oh hey look, even with fewer pass attempts Sam leads Trinidad in every major category except turnovers, which is a tie.

Im breathless with surprise that Lane Kiffin can coach a QB, what an unprecedented turn of events.

never did I think that the talented QB who struggled early while still learning a brand new offense with all new teammates, many of whom were also learning a brand new offense with all new teammates, would somehow get better after missing time in camp due to injury.

EDIT: in no way is this meant to disparage Chambliss, who is great, I wanted him to follow Lane, he has a better deep ball than Sam and a stronger arm. but Anthony Richardson has a stronger arm than Brock Purdy and I'm still picking Purdy 100 times out of 100, there's more to playing QB than bullets
