So confused!!!
I’m 26F and have only ever had male partners. I’m a typical cis woman and pretty feminine in general.
Over the past maybe two years? I’ve felt like I have no desire to have sex. I was talking to a boy for about a year but ended things as I honestly didn’t like him. I never wanted to have sex with him but still did. Not in a coercion way but just that I wasn’t that interested in it. I was only okay with having sex with him because he likes me so much and cares about me so much.
On the other hand, a different boy who is more successful and attractive is trying to pursue me and that makes me feel excited although I haven’t hung out with him and probably won’t for a while since he lives in another state.
THIS IS WHERE THE CONFUSION COMES IN!!! Around last year, I met a girl at a party who is super super super pretty. We DM each other flirting here and there and I wasn’t sure if we were just being very nice to each other because lots of my straight friends flirt with me. But she’s gorgeous, like holy shit! I’ve shown her page to a couple of my friends just talking about how pretty she is and how sweet she is too.
One of the things is us talking about smoking a joint. Today she messaged me saying when I’m off one day we should smoke a joint and she will bring a bong and we can cuddle. I responded “sounds like a dream”. Im kinda freaking out right now! I’ve never actually been with a woman but I prefer to be around women in general. I just feel they are easier to get along with.
I’m having weird feelings like I’m unsure if she’s actually flirting with me, if she’s straight, what this means. I do want to cuddle with her but I feel so scared kind of similar to how I felt the first time I had sex with or kissed a boy. And I’m also unsure if what I’m feeling is even right. TMI but I will say I prefer to watch lesbian porn because I feel like women are more gentle. IDK! Does this make me kinda gay???? Is she even flirting with me??? If she is flirting with me then what do I do if we hangout??? I’m freaking out and I don’t know what to do but I just know I at least want to be her friend.

Respectfully ask someone their name
Looking for advice. How do I respectfully ask the new team member what name they prefer, rather than the one that shows up on their new-hire paperwork? I only know that they don't go by their "original" name because they mentioned to a different coworker by saying "I guess I have to go by that, that's the name on my paperwork". I'm quite sure that at my work, it's up to each individual what they would like to be called. I hope this makes sense.
I'm the trainer, and so I spend time with this person. I just want to be welcoming, inclusive and respectful. Help me out please? Is there a "best" way to ask? I don't know this person very well yet.

Sign the Petition to Save BioWare and LGBT inclusive gaming
c.orgMany of you know, but BioWare has stood out as pushing the limits of LGBTQ inclusive content in their games for decades. RPG like Mass Effect and Dragon Age, which allowed for same sex relationships in game, either in the first game with Dragon age, and with Mass effect it's mixed, they started with same sex female romance, but by ME3 they included gay romance too. I fear that if we lose BioWare, we may start losing more inclusivity in a time when we need more.

Beware of homophobic/transphobic tattooer
galleryTimothy Goodrich owner of Aloha Tattoo Hawaii is a violently far right misogynist, racist, homophobic and transphobic loser. Please be careful if you are getting tattooed in the area.

How do people feel about the term heteroflexible?
I keep trying to tell people that I’m heteroflexible and they don’t know what it is (which I understand, it’s not very well known) but then I explain what it is and people immediately either group me in as straight or bi. I’ve only ever found one person who reinforced my identity and made me feel valid. Everyone has made me feel stupid for choosing a micro label rather than “conforming” to a more traditional one.
I’m on here today to ask the wider community what people think about the term heteroflexible? Do you think it’s valid?

Anyone find it ironic how X is now full of G/ay P/or and Republicans?
From Grindr outtages during the RNC meetings to Trump salivating over men. The jokes write themselves. And they are so anti LGBTQ+.

Being Queer Is Human
Humans have had diverse gender expression for our entire 800 thousand years. It's not new or contemporary. Queer people exist around the world and everywhere people do. You may or may not see us, because of the beliefs of the local culture, yet we are there, we have our own communities, and we often create our own homes, families, and support systems.
Our culture puts up bounds to our existence and yet it is the human spirit to be as we are - today, not tomorrow, and not on someone else's terms; but today, this moment, right now - authentic and proud and without hesitation.
I want to clarify that I realize gender can be a social construct in relation to others, yet it is also an internal experience -- thoughts, feelings, beliefs, desire, hunger. These take the social construct of gender roles far deeper into our individual identity and expression which yearns to be congruent with the outward self.

my friend recently came out, want to promote their social media page on IG
Hi all, my friend recently came out as gay, he runs a modelling instagram page as a hobby and hasnt been receiving much engagement since the start and has been feeling pretty down because of it. I want to do a little anonymous gift and promote his page for him, not sure how. my budget is up to $100 cad, any leads? I am not a member of LGBTQ+ myself so i am very ignorant about anything related, any leads would be appreciated, thank you.

Idk 😅
Okay i dont even know if this is even the correct sub, i just got to express something.
Uhh i dont think im a woman.. im 25, this is definitely not the first time im having these thoughts. When i was younger i figured that i was confused, maybe its trauma, maybe family dynamic bs. Ive known im queer since 12, and began coming out shortly after.
But ive prayed to be in a different body since too long before that too. Ive tried dipping toes and existing more authentically but each time i was either outted and got defensive, or uh threatened exorcism (i wish that one was a joke, my fam is othx christian).
I have cptsd and other bull and for the last decade ive been in therapy untangling conditions and uncoding the"bugs" as i call them.
For the past few months ive been very happy, surprisingly so, like being able to laugh for the first time in years. Ive also been unmasking, just being more real, less pretending for the benefit of others.
And it just keeps popping up, i dont know what to do about. Since a kid ive known id go no contact with my family and live authentically and its scary that its coming up to that point. Im around 5'4, theres no way in heck id pass. Honestly im pretty much asexual (ive an asocial personality disorder) so i dont really care about the relationship aspects. Just existing as me i guess, a version of me ive hid for so so so long for safety reasons and i dont really know how to go about it.
In teens ive known many trans people, but also being a teen and an adult are not the same.
Idk but yah.

“Male Lesbians” are not a thing
If you’re a trans man and you like girls then you. Are. Straight. You are not a “male lesbian” because a lesbian is a WOMAN that like other women. Are you a woman? No you aren’t you’re a transgender male, quit invalidating your own gender and stay the FUCK out of women’s spaces.
This discourse popped up during spring break sometime last year I think? and it drove me nuts because why would you, for one, misgender yourself because aren’t you a boy? Lesbianism is for girls, and two, invade a woman’s space, let women have their space. If you’re a boy then you’re a boy, trans or cis, quit doing that shit bro
