#71 Josh Simmons jersey. I wore it 9 times, which is only one more than Josh. It's the first jersey I've ever purchased. Will accept trades for jerseys of humans who play football. No low ball offers, I know what I have.

For me — it’s a big story. Back when I was a small child, the Chiefs were playing in an MNF game. I loved the way announcers said “CITY” and I loved the word “city” based on a TV show I loved then. My dad had multiple fantasy players and we ended up watching a lot of their games, I also liked how they were playing, and their colors/uniforms. Decided after a few football games and teams I watched Chiefs were my favorite (out of a few) and never looked back (that’s kinda how I was with sports teams, was very random at that time lol). Became a huge thing, was one of the best decisions I ever made.
For those of you who don’t really have connections to the city — how’d you become a fan?

As the title says, it’s a fun what if. If we’re going to have marginal kicking, might as well make it fun and get an extra tackler on the field.

If the latecomers to the room could kindly stfu about the O line because ChatGPT told them it's a problem, that would be great. The AIs rely on PFF bullshit that is utterly disconnected from the whole-team picture and is just dumb mathmagic. If you think your eyeballs are telling you it's a problem, give your brain some facts.
Here are the Chiefs' offense numbers from NFL Pro (Next Gen Stats), through 6 games:
Volume:
359 total plays: 198 passes, 161 runs (55.2% pass)
Pass protection:
Pressures allowed: 66, 5th-fewest in the league.
Pressure rate: 31.7%, 7th-lowest. *Benson's personal pressure rate is about 8%, up slightly from the 6.6% he had when awarded, winning 85% of his one-on-ones. So especially get my guy's name out your mouth unless it is to praise him*
Time to pressure: 2.72 seconds, 10th-best. Not bad.
Sack rate: 3.5%, third best, though I put this last because Pat generally self-rescues by throwing it away before that happens. Given the very good QBP and QBP% it seems like kind of a fringe stat that says more about Pat being willing to get the ball away if the pocket collapses on him.
Pat's time to throw is still 2.8, same as it was last year and the year before that. He is not being forced to throw early.
Mahomes air yards to the sticks, to illustrate that this is a no receivers problem. Next Gen Stats has him throwing into tight coverage only 6.8% of the time. Average throw lands 2.3 yards short of the first-down marker. That fits a quarterback with time but no open targets downfield.
Drop a comment if you want any other numbers.

Josh Simmons opinion from someone who actually knows what he's talking about. He breaks down the timeline as well as the communication from the Chiefs and what doesn't add up. Also discusses his experience with a similar injury. Great YouTube channel btw.

Yes, he’s an imperfect and undersized player. But I don’t really see other realistic options.
Garrett Wilson - Jets are going to want a good environment for their next qb. He’s only 26 and they already have 3 FRP’s.
BTJ - Jags aren’t trading him to the Chiefs without a big overpay.
Devonta Smith - Not sure the Chiefs would be willing to give up a first for a receiver at his size. On one hand they love small receivers but on the other the WR room is already very small.
Jerry Jeudy - Not too costly but hasn’t had good production since 2024.
Dontayvion Wicks - Not sure he moves the needle
Who do you all think is the WR most likely to end up on KC?

Cmon Veach, make it happen. Fire sale, so it won't cost too much. And we could really use the extra pass rush juice.

i had too many title/caption ideas and overthought it. My brain did a whole loop and started trying to figure out what season this was from until I realized the rest were accurate.

Listen, I get it, I watched the game on Sunday. It was really bad. I think the chiefs should absolutely be calling everyone they can call for, but I don’t honestly think WR is where we should be looking. Our core is not stellar, certainly not, but they’ve held their own. Rice is expected to come back next week, and in the time he was out Worthy has actually had very solid games aside from Seattle.
The problem with Seattle wasn’t our receivers. It was our O-Line. The pocket collapsed within seconds of every snap. Mahomes had to run off on some insane improvisational route every time he wanted to make a play because the line just wasn’t holding. I know we’re down our starter for both tackles, and Moore really was barely even a starter to begin with on RT. With Simmons on IR and no telling if he’ll even be back once he’s off, our line is clearly extremely fragile especially on tackles. Are there no tackles worth trying to trade for? I’m sure it’d be costly, but what good is that cost for a star WR if one fluke injury leaves Mahomes completely vulnerable on every snap.
And how about shopping for a kicker? We could’ve been down only four points going into the last quarter, which maybe would’ve given us a little bit of momentum, if not for Butker’s two misses. That’s pretty huge! In key moments I don’t think I can trust Butker anymore. And what about pass rush? I think we’ve got a good group (especially in R Mason Thomas) but another great player in that group could push them up to another level!! Im just saying, I think there are other things we could be trading for than another WR, especially when if all else fails there is the “break glass in case of emergency” that is signing Tyreek.

Hi everyone, this is a breakdown of Kenneth Walker's MVP campaign vs 2012 Adrian Peterson.

Ok, so the Seahwaks game exposed all our warts. Funny how an elite defense can do that. Anyway, in no particular order...
Since 2nd half last season, Butker leads league in missed FGs/extra points
Sneed is fully cooked, each QB attacks him when he is on the field
Chris Jones looks done, like 0.5 sacks and low pressure rate and he cant really run anymore.
Our WRs cant separate in under 2.5 seconds, our line cant pass block for more than 2.5 seconds. Mahomes has happy feet cause he doesn't trust the line.
JFC and now I just expect at least 2 botched snaps from Humphrey every game now.
Situationally, if ever there was a game to double team one player, it was this game. JSN is 50% of their offense. Double team him all night.
We can draft and develop CBs like no one else, but we have exact opposite problem with WRs.

Garrett Wilson seems like the most logical option considering he's frustrated in NY, they drafted a stud in Omar Cooper Jr, and the Jets just lost to Miami.
MAKE IT HAPPEN, IVE SEEN ENOUGH DROPPED BALLS IN THE PAST 5 YEARS.

Okay, I am personally so very tired of the beat up Patrick Mahomes talk.
We are so incredibly lucky to have him. Perfect? No. No one is. Not even that dude...what's his name Tom oh yeah Brady. He sure had some bad games - and seasons.
You all know Patrick will play as hard as he can until he drops, obviously.
So, yes!, we need to get him some consistent good help!! But please don't beat him up.

Did anyone really think Mahomes and the Chiefs, down their top two receivers and two starting tackles, against a defense like the Seahawks, were just gonna put up complete fireworks?
Look, this game was terrible. No denying it, no excuses.
However, we soon get Rashee Rice back, Kenneth Walker will go back to being Kenneth Walker, and I’m sure the tackles will be better.
And the defense was actually pretty good. I know we’re ranting about Chris Jones not being the Chris Jones he once was, but, cmon. The defense gave up 13 points until garbage time, and was amazing at stopping everything other than JSN (an unstoppable receiver).
People will doom and overreact from Chiefs Kingdom and every fanbase out there, however, let’s not overreact. The same thing happens on Sunday against Denver? Then you can panic.
