My room is quite small so this is the best shelf I can make for the time being!

It has all my favourites, my favourite JP character, my Favourite dinosaurs and my stone egg that I got from the London History Museum when I was really young and a family member decided it would be funny to convince me that it would hatch into a dinosaur if I kept it warm and looked after it well, and of course the first book that I have yet to read!

(please let me know if there os anymore Muldon merch I can get that isnt extremely expensive! also if theres any Gerry Harding merch lmk as well, thank you!)

And JP3 Spino is the Jenifer Tilly/Tiffany Valentine of the Franchise (fight with the wall if you disagree), I don’t care what dead meat says, JP3 is a fantastic movie and my favorite, same thing with Bride of Chucky, and both are enhanced by their new antagonists, Tiffany and Spino, but unlike the Chucky Franchise the Jurassic franchise let Spino down, never touching the beauty again after the 3rd movie

Well here it is. My updated shelf pictures. Haven’t posted on here in ages but doesn’t mean I haven’t spending tons of money on plastic dinosaurs! Let me know your favorite figure in the collection!

Mostly Hammond Collection figures with some mainline and Legacy collections sprinkled in. The red logo behind the rex lights up but was washing out the shots tonight. The Brachiosauruses need their own shelves so they have to watch from a distance lol

On last nights Jeopardy for a $2,000 clue there was a Jurassic Park question for one of the clues with the answer being Sir Richard Attenborough thought Jeopardy wasn’t looking for Sir to be added. In the book it definitely is facts Hammond was a villain but is he really still one in the movie?

I rewatched Jurassic Park a couple of weeks ago and that (combined with Rocky from Project Hail Mary) has really sparked an interest in puppets and animatronics for me. Where can I go if I want to learn more?

...and it was awesome. I was born the year the first one came out, so I wasn't able to see these in theatres upon release, but my father had shown me the films at a young age. It was nice to get to see them again with him, in the proper setting this time.

We watched Jurassic Park, The Lost world, and 3. I've always felt more nostalgic for the 2nd film, and it felt great to see it on a big screen.

Here’s my opinion:

They’re far from perfect, but they’re sort of underrated. I mean, checking in the sub, I’ve never seen anyone talking about these guy.

Yes, some of their articulations look funny (Looking at you Titanosaurus), exposed ball joints but overall they have a decent degree of accuracy to their film counterparts.

I made a spinosaurus pumpkin at a friends halloween party for their pumpkin carving competition and won! :) Their legs are really wonky but I did what I could without it falling apart lol, it was super tricky to get all the small bits out! I didn’t get a pic of this but I carved the 3 slashes from the jurassic park logos on both sides as well. Not sure if this counts as jurassic park but the spino was always my absolute favourite.

And yes, I'm including Camp Cretaceous and Chaos Theory, as they are canon to the film continuity timeline.

For me, it's their willingness to take risks in taking the story in new directions. First, with the creation of hybrids like the Indominus Rex (which is the best use of the concept), then the idea of trained animals and how dangerous it can be, and with bringing the dinosaurs out of the islands onto the mainland. Definitely breaking the mold, and something I believe would've been better received if the execution of these ideas were better implemented (except for the Indominus; I think it was utilized the best it could).

But what do you guys think?

Just curious here because they always seem to shoot the hell out of these dinosaurs and I feel like at some point organic matter, it’s just gonna fail from blood loss. Or am I incorrect in these animals would be big enough that bullets wouldn’t be able to penetrate?

Watching Jurassic World and pondering. Thanks for entertaining my question!
