Tucked away close to the Tipperary/Limerick border is the tiny village of Toem with this impressive tower. Part of a Church of Ireland church on the site of a medieval church with the nave demolished. The damage to the wall in picture 9 was from a recent car crash. The vaults were used to store guns by the local IRA during the War of Independence.

📰 Article Does anyone know of any good, thorough articles on the internation brigade volunteers from Ireland?

Good if they talk about motive, how they lived in Spain and some of the battles they were involved in. Also great if they talk about how the Brigaders were treated in Ireland when they came back

Hello! As I understand it they were called drúthi in gaeilge? I am having trouble finding any sources on how they might have been dressed historically.

Some of you might enjoy this type of videos. I’m slowly trying to cover the Irish Cities. I will remake Dublin and Cork since they were my first videos I have been fixing and improving things since then.
