Since I found myself with way more time to work on the car than I originally planned, I decided to take care of a ton of deferred maintenance.
Aside from putting the whole transmission and engine bay back together, I also replaced:
. Steering rack bellows
. Rear engine mount
. Various transmission and engine seals
. All the heater/coolant hoses (other than the radiator hoses which are newer)
. All the emissions hoses (evap, pcv, etc)
I flushed and filled brake fluid, clutch fluid, coolant, trans fluid, engine oil, and greased all the zerks I could find. No leaks so far! I went over every part of the car with a fine tooth comb since I want this thing as close to mechanically factory perfect as I can make it. Luckily I did all my suspension upgrades last year so it's still pretty fresh.
Gonna take her for a gentle test drive later to make sure all my work holds up, a bit nervous since this was my first time messing with the internals of a transmission. Probably going to do a second MTF drain and fill after a few miles to make sure any debris from working on the trans gets flushed out.
