Discussion Dear Mods, too many political bullshit posts. If possible create a system where such posts need approval

Posting 10 memes on Tai and PM wont help in deciding which stocks to buy or sell. Same with just rants on government's policies. Very limited discussion on direct stocks is happening in this sub. There are so many subs for discussion on government and individual political leaders.

Educational Tanla bounced ~19% in October and is now sitting right under its long downtrend line. Real reversal or just a bounce?

Been watching Tanla (NSE: TANLA) for a while and wanted to share what I’m seeing. I don’t use indicators, just price, volume and patterns.

On the daily chart, the stock chopped around ₹480-500 for weeks, and then in October it finally broke out with a strong green candle on good volume. It ran from about ₹503 to ₹598, pulled back a bit, and is now hanging around ₹579. What I like is that it made a higher low after the breakout, and the ₹530-540 area, which was resistance for months, now looks like it could hold as support.

Volume is where I’m a bit cautious. The breakout volume was above average by my eye, but nowhere near the huge spikes we saw in April and July. So buyers are showing up, but I don’t see big conviction yet.

The weekly chart is the real test. The downtrend line from the 2022 peak is still intact, and price has run right into it. ₹650-656 is also a horizontal resistance where it got rejected before, and it lines up with the trendline. There’s a rounding-bottom kind of base building from the ~₹370 low, but I wouldn’t call it valid until there’s a weekly close above ₹650-656.

On the news side, Q2 consolidated revenue came in around ₹1,352 cr with net profit around ₹146 cr, plus a ₹6 interim dividend. ValueFirst got consolidated this quarter, so YoY numbers aren’t really comparable.

For me, ₹530-540 and ₹500 are the support zones, and ₹600, ₹650-656 and ₹780-800 are the resistances. Short term it looks decent, but I’d be careful about calling it a trend reversal before ₹650 breaks on a close. And if it closes back under ₹530, the breakout is in trouble.

Would love to hear how you guys read this. Do you think it clears ₹650, or gets rejected at the trendline first?

(NISM certified research analyst), just sharing my analysis for discussion. Not a buy/sell call, please do your own research.

Discussion AI has proven how incompetent top management is in most companies.

The discussion around AI layoffs has clearly shown the gross incompetence in top management of these companies.

They clearly dont know what happens in their own UT departments, people getting fired over not being able to utilise enough tokens, when in reality the coders who wrote their own codes were the best ones, and the ones "token-maxxing" were the incompetent ones.

Microsoft, Google and most hyperscalers have more than 70% of their GPUs sitting in warehouses- according to Ed Zitron.

Currently AI cost is being subsidized heavily by the investors, when the claude subscription will cost 2 lakhs Rs per month for a simple chatbot - this cost is basically what claude needs to charge its existing users to break even in terms of profit.

Except for a few companies who adopted local AI models and did not do immediate layoffs, and used AI in a very productive manner, best example Valve Corporation

I fear what will happen of these company IT departments when IT will have to code manually and we wont have the developers which were fired due to AI

Question Saw green for the first time. Need advice.

I’m 20 and new to investing. I plan on investing 30k every month through an SIP in the Bandhan Nifty 50 Index Fund.

Should I listen to my mom and give her the money? She says she’ll put it in a chit fund that offers a 10% p.a. return with no tax. Or should I trust my gut and stick to SIPs?

I can also do 15k in chit fund and 15k in SIP.

My risk appetite is very low because I come from a family that believes stock market is gambling.

What should I do?

Discussion So a marketing hyped IPO had a bumper opening | JIO market cap exceeds Bharti Airtel

With the bumper IPO listing gains of JIO, which was heavily marketed by all brokers and social media delivered exceptional listing gains.

Jio has more market cap now then Airtel. Bharti Airtel stock has holdings of their Africa business, Indus Towers stake included in the valuation.

I am afraid now there will be blind application rush for all IPO going forward by common people without understanding it's implications.

Question im Quit option

Post image
• Upvotes

Quit options after seeing 100% 200% 300% monthly jumps. Today I could've made 30% of my capital in 5 mins but I froze.

I'm not scared of losing - I traded fearlessly for 3 months. But suddenly before every trade my mind goes "what if it goes against me? what if I lose today?"

Crazy part is I've only traded 20 days in the last 60 trading days and all 20 were green. Not a single f*cking red day. And now I'm feeling scared for no reason why?

Anyone been through this?

RBI reportedly recommends:
Capital account transactions: Reduce the LRS limit from $250,000 to $0.
Current account transactions: Reduce the limit to $50,000.
Education & healthcare: Kept outside these proposed restrictions.
These are reported recommendations, not necessarily final government policy.

Discussion War post mid terms (Wall Street journal)

Post image
23 Upvotes

As reported in Wall Street Journal, US is planning to re-start the war in Iran post mid terms. The wording used is short intense war, same as before 28 Feb starting of war, which stated war will last 96 hours.

Given Netanyahu’s block in Israel is not getting majority and Republicans(Trump) might lose both house, the assessment might change but war seems to be incoming because massive US interceptor missiles are being taken to Israel as detected on flight tracking website.. so please everyone plan accordingly, this might be a reason why Indian market is down

Discussion Acutaas Chemicals Q2 FY27: revenue up 43%, FY27 guidance raised

Q2 FY27 key numbers:

Revenue: ₹436.9 cr, up 42.7% YoY from ₹306.2 cr and up 32.5% QoQ

Gross profit: ₹271.5 cr, up 59%, with gross margin at 62.1% vs 55.8% a year ago

EBITDA: ₹176 cr, up 84.6% YoY and 55.6% QoQ

EBITDA margin: 40.3% vs 31.1% a year ago and 34.3% in Q1

PAT: ₹123.1 cr, up 71.4% YoY from ₹71.9 cr and up 64.2% QoQ

PAT margin: 28.2% vs 23.5%

H1 FY27 key numbers:

Revenue: ₹766.6 cr, up 49.3%

EBITDA: ₹289 cr, up 97.7%, a 37.7% margin

PAT: ₹198.1 cr, up 71%

Segments (Q2)

Advanced Intermediates (pharma intermediates and CDMO): ₹402 cr, up 53.1%

Specialty Chemicals: ₹34.9 cr, down 20%

Guidance and expansion

FY27 revenue growth guidance raised to about 30% from 25%

FY27 EBITDA margin guidance raised to 38-40%

Inaugurated its South Korea facility ahead of schedule, to make high-purity chemicals for photoresists and semiconductor packaging materials

Property, plant and equipment: ₹954.5 cr vs ₹582.8 cr at FY26 end, showing heavy capex

Market reaction

The stock rose about 13-14% to roughly ₹3,796, near its 52-week high of ₹3,900

Takeaways

Margin expansion is the headline. EBITDA grew about twice as fast as revenue, driven by a richer product mix and higher gross margin.

Growth is concentrated in pharma intermediates and CDMO, which are lumpy and customer-driven. Specialty Chemicals is shrinking but is small.

The guidance math is worth noting. With H1 revenue up 49%, a full-year target of about 30% implies H2 growth well below H1's pace, so either guidance is conservative or growth is expected to slow.

Q2 margin of 40.3% is at the top of the 38-40% guided range, so margins could ease in H2.

The South Korea semiconductor chemicals plant adds a new growth leg, but it's early-stage and carries ramp-up risk.

Capex is rising fast, so watch return ratios and cash flow.
