Spectacular! Hey if you ever need to sell an older model that you don't play as often, LMK!

u/bellatrixfoofoo Jan 22 '26

I always think of my guitars as boys, haha, but it's trickier with the Pia since it's named after Steve's wife. They really are works of art tho!!

u/AlertArm1829 Jan 22 '26
I usually think of my guitars as boys too, but that Pia is way too elegant to be a boy ππ

Hey did you still have 3 of the sevenstring pias?

Brother what the hell is wrong with you.. get the green one next hahah
2
u/bellatrixfoofoo Jan 22 '26
I was bidding on one last year, I threw down Β£5.5k on it and it went for just Β£200 more.. It was a week before I was going away for a month and I just couldn't keep bidding on it..! I've kicked myself ever since because the only one I can find now is in Germany for considerably more, plus import fees π€¦ββοΈ

Iβve heard how rare the green one is, reminds me of the Jem777 green rarity. Which noww sells for 15-22K lol, so maybe worth the hunt. Love yours tho man, enjoy em!

u/bellatrixfoofoo Jan 22 '26
I really should have jumped on the coloured ones quicker... I've passed up on TWO pink panthers in the past because I don't do pink guitars. I so wish I hadn't overlooked them now. The 777LNG is everyone's grail tho, the prices are insane haha

wdym three? I've been waiting for the onyx PIA to come to stock but the last one in my COUNTRY sold out bruhhhh
1
u/bellatrixfoofoo Jan 22 '26
Same in the UK, you can buy them now and then sit on a waiting list until they're available. Where are you?
1
u/Spaciax Jan 22 '26
Turkey... If I try to order from Ibanez, assuming it ships straight from japan, it's going to have a million different issues at customs; you need to pay out the ass for taxes, a 'customs officer' or whatever the fuck (basically just a middleman parasite), and also storage fees too.
There's a local music equipment chain that has some sort of deal going on with Ibanez where they can sell their guitars at not much more cost than other countries, so I'm relying on them to get one back in stock.
Have any of your PIAs had QA issues? not that I've heard of any major issues with that for this model specifically, but I might have to order blind if it ever gets back in stock.

u/bellatrixfoofoo Jan 22 '26
No issues at all, in fact all amazing quality. Ah shit yeah, that sucks!! What's reverb like there?
1
u/Spaciax Jan 22 '26
We don't really have Reverb here. Not very popular for selling 2nd hand stuff. Since they made importing stuff harder over the years, the price of 2nd hand stuff has similarly gone up in other sites anyway.
I also checked the most popular 2nd hand items site, not a single black PIA in sight.
I looked at plane tickets for Istanbul-Tokyo and I kid you not, assuming that the figure of ~$2800 is correct for new PIAs in Japan; buying a plane ticket, getting the guitar, and bringing it back as carry on luggage is only like $500 more expensive than buying it here directly. Add some more money on top of that and you basically have a guitar + a vacation.

Good Googly-Moogly. they don't get any less pretty the more you get, do they!

Oh my god its forgot how gorgeous the ibanez PIA are, now i' sad I have an old 1550 with tons of nicks n scratches, but hey thats a workhorse for ya
1
u/bellatrixfoofoo Jan 22 '26
1550's are awesome... especially more so if they're already dinged!!
1
u/Every_Razzmatazz9936 Jan 22 '26
Meant a 2550 but its basically the same, and yeah its so comfortable! Though I would 100% want to own a pia sometime in my life
1
u/bellatrixfoofoo Jan 22 '26
Definitely try one, they're pretty damn smooth!
1
u/Every_Razzmatazz9936 Jan 22 '26
Yeah i would if I have the chance, tho I could barely buy the 2550 (still 15 so I can't get a job so I worked weekends for most of last year to buy this one and a syn custom s) the pia is like at least both combined if not more
1
u/ViperHS Jan 22 '26
Girl, calm down with these Pias! Looks amazing though. I wish they weren't so damn expensive in my country.
2
u/bellatrixfoofoo Jan 22 '26
They're not cheap here, we'll, some are thankfully! Where are you?
2
u/ViperHS Jan 22 '26
Brazil. Our import taxes make so that it's at least double whatever people in the US or Europe pay.
1
u/bellatrixfoofoo Jan 22 '26
I hear you. Sometimes it's cheaper for me to drive to the EU from the UK and "smuggle" stuff back...

u/Aggravating_Yam_8271 Jan 22 '26
Just.... Wow...

u/bellatrixfoofoo Jan 22 '26
They never fail... π

u/Aggravating_Yam_8271 Jan 24 '26
I had plenty of RG's in my lifetime. I own a Tele now. But nothing quite gets to the teenager in me going again, by looking at such a pretty guitar.

I get it. My retirement advisor has basically stopped talking to me.

u/bellatrixfoofoo Jan 24 '26
Crazy isn't it. Some advisors just have different ideas of investments π

u/afonso_1414 Jan 23 '26
You definitely DONβT need three of the same guitar. If it had different pickups or something, Iβd understand, this is just insanity

Absolutely gorgeous, the only signature guitar that actually offers something other than just the artist name on the back.

u/Metanfetamine Jan 24 '26
Usually not a fan of floating bridges, but Iβd make an exception for a PIA or JEM. Enjoy it!

I mean, i love my PIA but I canβt imagine having 3 in the exact same colour, are they at least in different tunings?
