Writing off Bam and the entire Heat organization four games into an 82-game season is an insane overreaction, especially with an entirely new roster still finding its rhythm. Bam has proven his elite, multi-time All-Star caliber year after year. Y'all have the memory of a goldfish. A slow (and yes, brutal) start in October does not erase his elite track record or the front office's proven ability to build competitive teams. Chemistry with major new pieces takes time to build on the court. A lot changes between opening week and the spring.

to be clear, this is not an endorsement of how terribly everything has been going so far, it’s directly addressing the dumbasses saying to trade Bam, Tyler was right, etc.

Our shooters will find their groove, our free throws were start to fall, our ball movement will become more fluid, and Bam will start having his shots drop and sack up as captain.

In Spo, Pat, and Bam I trust

This is not a dig at Giannis, so please don't read it that way. He is an absolute game changer.

I think it's dawning on me that Giannis just does Giannis things... they're not really how a basketball player moves or anything like that... which is also his secret sauce... it's just amazing raw athleticism. 

Milwaukee knew this and basically built the team around him to take care of the "non-Giannis" things... and learn how to move around him etc. 

Miami doesn't (historically) work like that... they aim to have everyone held accountable, and work on some pretty core fundamentals in how they play. And it just doesn't look like Giannis has ever learned some of that. 

I've seen it a number of times now where Miami is on offence, the ball goes into the post on an isolation, and the player starts to go to work, and Giannis just walks over to where the post is, and now the player is double teamed... 

I think he's just so used to people getting out of the way for him... he doesn't know how to get out of the way for other people.

I think they'll work it out, if any team is going to get you gaining better habits and core fundamentals it's the Heat.

How do we feel about bam saying he doesn’t want to be captain nor never wanted to be one.

Me personally i thought the point of giving him 200+ Million dollars, was partly cause of his integrity, leadership and do it all style type of a player.

I think no one should receive a max contract and not want to be a leader or THE leader of his team.

OK, so this is not me pointing fingers or making anyone scapegoat as I know we have a lot of people doing that already. I do feel though that this team has more potential on the defensive end than what is being shown these past four games. There has been a lot of drop coverage on pick and roll with the other teams guards shooting flames from 3 when I feel that we have the athletic players to basically crowd up on ball handlers and give them hell(Davion, Wigs, Bam, even Conwell). I feel that Spo is relying too much on zone defense when we don’t have that old of a roster. If i’m wrong then i’m wrong but i’m still optimistic about the future. Lmk what you think about this

We really shouldn’t be blaming Bam or Giannis for what’s happening. Bam’s shooting troubles are nothing new and should’ve been expected and he’ll deal with that in time. The shooters (mainly just Tim Hardaway Jr. and Klay) need to find their shot again. Mainly THJ if Spo is going to keep playing him all these minutes. And Spo should be utilizing the zone defense a bit more as well. I think once Bam, Klay, and Tim jr. figure their shooting slumps out and we fix the defense we’re a very scary team to play against. It’s 4 games out of 82 there is still a LOT of basketball left to play.
