I am not sure if you all will agree but here are my thoughts. Bam is at his best playing pseudo Jokic role as the hub on offense. He has the ball in his hands during DHOs, and can use the shooters as a threat to attack the paint. I think back to when we had duncan and strus and vincent. That was Bam at his best as he would work in the 12-18 ft range.
With Giannis, I feel like Spo is trying to have him turn into Chris Bosh. But Bam has never been a great jump shooter. Hell, his midrange could be wildly inconsistent at times despite it being his go to. Bam is best within the arc. Ik this affects spacing, but Bam shooting a three is essentially a turnover.
This is why I would like to see Spo try and reinvent a modern version of the Grit&Grind Grizzlies.
I have no doubt Bam will turn his season around. But we are in a championship or bust mode. And we need to see more out of our second best player if we are to be successful. Bam seems to be playing through injury so we should extend him some grace, but he has looked awful.
What are your thoughts as to how we turn this around?

Jokes obvi but with our luck weâd somehow end up at 14 lmao

Glad to see Dru Smith back playing defense and making 3s, but this Klay Thompson shit has got to stop. Pelle, whom I adore, doesn't fit with the starters when you pull the leash bc he doesnt even shoot the 3 when it's there.

Writing off Bam and the entire Heat organization four games into an 82-game season is an insane overreaction, especially with an entirely new roster still finding its rhythm. Bam has proven his elite, multi-time All-Star caliber year after year. Y'all have the memory of a goldfish. A slow (and yes, brutal) start in October does not erase his elite track record or the front office's proven ability to build competitive teams. Chemistry with major new pieces takes time to build on the court. A lot changes between opening week and the spring.
to be clear, this is not an endorsement of how terribly everything has been going so far, itâs directly addressing the dumbasses saying to trade Bam, Tyler was right, etc.
Our shooters will find their groove, our free throws were start to fall, our ball movement will become more fluid, and Bam will start having his shots drop and sack up as captain.
In Spo, Pat, and Bam I trust

First, I gotta admit i'm a Bam fan. Second, I think a trade is the only logical move. The tough part is trade offers will likely only come from contenders and they're not sending back playoff caliber talent in return, so you end up with picks and young players and Giannis is not here for that.
The problem. Bam has been a paint big for likely his whole life and is not paired with a paint big. One of the two has to adjust their game and we know which one isn't going to. So we're left with a guy who now has to be a stretch 4 to be on the court at the same time with a paint big. That's not going to happen in 4 games.
So how do you get Bam going? That's for Spo and Bam and Giannis to a degree to figure out, but it's going to be tough. All of the ways that you can are off the table with Giannis in the game. Sprint the floor and post up at the basket? Giannis is beating him to that. Post up? Giannis is there. Even if he squares up to attack, Giannis is there. If you clear Giannis out of that paint, his defender is not moving because because he can't make you pay from deep. What does that leave?
So if you can't operate in the same spots as you used to your whole life, what do you do? Stand in the corner and shoot trees or nail jumpers but none of the easy duck in, quick spins easy buckets that can lift you out of the slump.
Now, i trust Spo to figure something out, maybe a Giannis/Bam PNR but I don't see how it gets solved.
So the conclusion is you gotta pick Giannis or Bam ,and it's clear Giannis is not going to adjust. And since no player can go from primarily a paint player to a stretch 4 in 4 games maybe not even 30 choices gotta be made.

How do we feel about bam saying he doesnât want to be captain nor never wanted to be one.
Me personally i thought the point of giving him 200+ Million dollars, was partly cause of his integrity, leadership and do it all style type of a player.
I think no one should receive a max contract and not want to be a leader or THE leader of his team.

Teague reveals the frustrating reality of playing alongside Giannis.
Klay on Left Corner 3s - 1/4 (25%)
Klay on Right Corner 3s - 1/6 (16.7%)
Has Klay been shooting the lights out through the first 4 games? Absolutely not. Would everyone love him to never miss a shot? Obviously. But despite what the commentary has suggested, when the game has been in reach or close, Klay has shown up at a very efficient rate - 44.4% from 3.
And as Tim Hardaway, Sr. & Lindsey Hunter astutely pointed out a couple weeks ago, keep Klay out of the corners and on the move and you'll get a productive Klay, even during his annual slow starts to the season - he's 39.1% (9/23) on all 3PAs above the break & 41.2% (7/17) on 3PAs beyond 25 ft.

long season and i think there is hope. i do know that Giannis will not stay after this season if there isnât a major turn around or big move before the deadline. BUT as a life long heat fan i will keep the same energy because i have never thought Bam was as good as the pedestal they put him on

Miami losing its first three games brought out detractors from around the sports media landscape over the weekend. Most notably, though, both Udonis Haslem and Dwyane Wade â two franchise legends whose jerseys hang in the rafters at Kaseya â commented on the Heatâs early struggles, especially the dynamic between Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo.
Following Adebayoâs eight-point performance in Mondayâs loss, the first question he took from reporters centered upon the growing criticism surrounding the team amid its poor start.
âCanât overthink basketball, man. For me, itâs my shotâs not going in,â Adebayo said. âItâs funny how the outside noise wants to make me the scapegoat, but when the tables turn ⊠when the energy shifts, just be prepared for that.â
Adebayo has struggled to find his offensive footing early in the season. After averaging 20.1 points per game last season, he has now scored only 11.8 points in Miamiâs first four games and made only six of his 18 3-point attempts (16.7 percent) after a 0-of-5 night against the Mavericks.

Bam is not the scapegoat, he created this expectation himself, and now itâs his time to prove heâs worthy
