Crowdsourcing for JoeWiki

Hi everyone. I and a handful of editors are working on JoeWiki: The G.I. Joe Wiki. It is a wiki like Joepedia for all things G.I. Joe but done in the vein of TFWiki.

While a couple of contributors handle the fiction side of things, I try to update the toys and merchandise entries. One of the challenges I faced is the lack of usable images. Using stock images is one thing as you get some leeway in what counts as fair use. For the most part a lot of stock images are sufficient but I do encounter some that are not satisfactory or insufficient to use in the wiki. I try to look for the best image that represent the character. Sometimes, the background is too difficult to remove or AI oversteps and make embellishments I don't want it to do. Other times, the provided stock image isn't really an actual photo of the toy but a 3D rendering of what the toy will look like. Such examples include Haslab and Super7.

And of course there are toys and merchandise that are difficult to find stock images of especially as the product is older like the Palisade Toys statues. Sites like 3DJoes have pictures but I refuse to copy and steal without asking.

Getting to the point, I'm asking if there is anyone interested in contributing images of their collection of both Joe toys and merchandise. My requisites being that the item is an official toy or licensed item. The figure is against a plain white background if possible and displaying their accessories. If you have any additional info regarding your picture, it is most welcome. As it is a wiki project, there is no monetary reward in this but the honor of having your picture selected for use. I can credit you by your real name or by your Reddit handle, whichever you choose.

How about it? Anyone want to help? Just give me a message.

Dr. Mindbender…a weird looking character. That’s probably why I kept it in it’s packing all these decades

Thought I’d go for a hat trick and post another from my 3.5+ decade old toy chest…for the third night. I never was crazy about the look of this action figure. He’s like a cross between a WWF figure and a SM character. It just looks bizarre. Who approved this at Hasbro?

1994 G.I. JOE (v1) Joseph B. Colton was a mail-in offer as part of G.I.Joe's 30th Anniversary. I found his red back file card and insert from Hasbro.

Hasbro, think about it... they supply arms and armor to BOTH Cobra and the Joes, keeping the war ongoing for their own profit, shameless.

Cobra's goal?

As I've learned a lot of fans play cobra as their protagonists. So to those people I ask what was cobras main goal? I always thought was very cool and realistic that on filecards it was said that cobra's and iron grenadiers had infiltrated governments and organizations all over the world.

I managed to rework a few areas so that genuine parts in dark blue can be used. I also added decals for further realism. What do you think now?

Unused Vintage G.I. Joe "Old Toy Store Find": Cobra Invader & Mobile Battle Bunker. The Gatling gun still has the factory protective film! Hallazgo de juguetería antigua de G.I. Joe Vintage sin usar: Cobra Invader y Búnker de Batalla Móvil.

Here are some details about this amazing find from an abandoned toy store: * Condition: Both items are brand new, unused, and in deadstock condition. * Cobra Invader: Completely fresh and never played with. * Mobile Battle Bunker: The rotating Gatling gun still has its original factory protective film completely intact. Note: Just to clarify, this weapon was designed by Hasbro to rotate only; it does not feature a spring-loaded shooting mechanism from the factory. Finding these untouched pieces after all these years feels like a time capsule. Let me know what you think!

Another one I bought over three decades ago. I forgot to take the sticker off this one too. Looks like I bought this while at Lenox Mall in Atlanta. Go Joe!

Cobra S.N.A.K.E. Armor - Vector 9 Radioactive (Glow-In-The-Dark) Version from Black Major (2026)

There’s a lot to love about the Cobra S.N.A.K.E. armor from 1983. This strange, wearable piece of Cobra technology has always been one of those accessories that made the G.I. Joe universe feel a little more futuristic and a whole lot cooler!

Black Major has given it a seriously cool radioactive twist with this Vector9 glow-in-the-dark version. It looks great in the light, but the real fun begins when the lights go out!

It may not be the original Hasbro version, but this is one Cobra accessory that definitely stands out in my collection!
