Wanted to share my installation process, since while I was troubleshooting some screen issues I couldn't find much on Hispeedido's warranty process or much of others running into this specific issue. Not an ad, I just like tweaking and sharing with the community when I find something helpful or unfortunate.
Bought a drop-in GBC Q5 IPS and a GBA V5 IPS screen for each of my consoles; I like minimal work and didn't feel like soldering. The GBA screen was flawless after some finagling to get the LCD to align with the front glass. The GBC screen however had some issues; it worked initially and I took the above picture in the post, but then suddenly stopped working normally and had screen bleeding/retention issues that wouldn't go away. I cleaned my power switch and recapped board to no avail.
Long story short, Hispeedido replied within 2 days of all my queries with minimal friction. Though I suspected the issue was the PCB, they initially sent me a screen replacement, of which I replied and provided video proof did not work. Shortly afterwards they agreed to send me a replacement PCB, and I'm overjoyed that my GBC works flawlessly now!
My initial shipment and the two replacements all came within 2 weeks from overseas to the USA. Though it was a bit sad going through trial and error, I appreciate their solid support in the process and like to share good and bad experiences for community knowledge.
Other thoughts, both IPS are beautiful, colorful, bright, and the pre-cut shells they came with fit flawlessly and look and feel mostly OEM. There's a few minor graphic differences compared to OEM, but my untrained eye hardly notices. I hear the cases are outsourced from different sources so I realize this is not entirely to their credit.
