The most common post we see in this subreddit is people moving to Fort Mill, either from Charlotte or from somewhere across the country. Instead of having a new thread every week or two, this will be a stickied post with all the usual questions that people get asked. Please comment below with your answers to the common questions we hear when people ask about moving here, or any other thoughts.

My family and I are considering a move to fort mill. We are in our early 40s with a 5 and 3 year old. We currently live in Tampa and are looking for a very family friendly community where our kids can walk/bike most places with a lot of other kids their age. Thoughts on whether this is the right fit?

At the Fort Mill YMCA at the Complex. (that's a mouthful!) Walked in the door at 12:08 and walked out at 12:13. Super quick and easy. Thanks to all the kind folks who provided info on the school board candidates the other day. Go vote!

Can someone please explain why so many people in Tega Cay feel the need to run and/or walk in the road in communities where there are perfectly good sidewalks?? I see this on a daily basis and it just seems dangerous and unnecessary.

My 3 year old wants to go fishing. I just need to go to a spot where we can catch something in about 10 minutes. Any fish will do. Where is that?

I’ve only lived here a week and a half and almost every day I have driven past a car wreck on one of the main roads. Witnessed one as well. You ok Fort Mill?
