This book was somewhat popular on bookish side of instagram around 2022-2023. It wasn't exactly young adult and had mature Themes I think. It was coming of age sort of, as far as I remember

SOLVED A sapphic ya book with an artist mc and a twister

I read this book in middle or elementary school, so maybe around 2015-2019?
I think there may have been a character named ivy? The cover may have been mostly white?
There was a line about how the women in the mc’s family cried silently

UNSOLVED 90s YA book, about a protective ghost MMC?

In my pre/teens I was a huge Point Horror (And adjacent books not from that "collection") reader, was massively into Christopher Pike. I'm remembering a book but I cannot find it.

The FMC is alive. That's all I remember about her.
The MMC is a ghost, and is the typical 90s outcast, long hang, leather jacket, flannel/plaid shirt tied around his waist. He was murdered, possibly by jocks/school bullies, and is now protecting the FMC.
They interact, only she can see him.
I vaguely remember there being trees around her home. and it's possible he's protecting her from her ex/boyfriend?

It was giving kinda Twilight vibes, but with a ghost instead of a vampire, and well before Twilight was a thing.

Does anyone know what book this could be? It was potentially 90s/early 2000s.

UNSOLVED What happens after death book

Hello, I have been trying to find a book I once read as a teenager with the following plot points

Start of the book had the protagonist going ice climbing for some reason.

The main plot had something to do with scientists hooking up people to a machine which was supposed to track what happened to a persons soul once they died and communicate with them to find out where the soul goes.

I think the end of the book had a bad guy hooked up to the machine who dies and speaks through the machine telling people that we were wrong to think that good/ heaven came first and evil/Hell came after, it was in fact evil/Hell that first came into existence and is the true order of the universe.

I think the real ending was that he was lying to make people think the worst and go through an existential crisis.

It is also possible that I hallucinated reading such a book but if anyone knows if this book is real I would greatly appreciate your help.

UNSOLVED Help Identifying a Lost Piece of Short Horror Fiction

As it says in the title, im trying to track down a piece of short horror fiction i read in an anthology I no longer own. The story would have been from the 90s. Can't recall the name, the author or the anthology, I'm afraid, and AI has made searching for an obscure piece of genre literature nearly impossible.

The story is about a rain maker in a world stricken by supernatural drought. He is in pursuit of a rogue apprentice who has been making it rain unnatural things. He comes to a desolate town, gets attacked by desperate locals, and resorts to a canteen or "black water" whose properties are never fully explained, but is apparently vile. He eventually tracks his apprentice down to the town hall which is crawling with tortured ghosts.

If anyone has any idea what this could be, I'd be in your debt.
