Starters, 50mg is a low dose. It's not standard even in non-randomized studies, the standard for men obtaining a range of 350-650 ng/dL trough is 75mg.
50mg also will not suppress the ovaries/gonads. No study has shown consistent gonadal suppression in patients taking 50mg. Since we know it's notably harder to supress the gonads in tms, 50mg really just won't cut it. Whereas studies on 100mg has consistently shown it's efficiency in men.
Gonadal suppression is important for two reasons, prevention of pelvic pain and assuring the female reproductive system isn't functioning in males. If the ovaries are working, the uterus is working, causing it to continue functioning under partial suppression thus resulting in pain.
The best way to avoid pelvic pain is to maintain testosterone levels high enough to suppress the gonads and take aromatase inhibitors as needed to push estradiol levels into male range. This will assure full cessation.
As for masculinization efficiency, it’s been shown in Bhasin 2001, a study consisting of five dosage cohorts, each taking 25mg, 50mg, 125mg, 300mg or 600mg of Testosterone Enanthate. That men who took 25mg or 50mg weekly had significant decreases in testosterone compared to baseline. Specifically, to serum testosterone levels of around 300 ng/dL, hypogonadal levels of testosterone.
As a result, they displayed traditional signs of hypogonadism like increased body fat and lack of ability to increase muscle volume and muscle mass. Whereas in the 125mg cohort (570 ± 75 ng/dL), their body fat maintained alongside a significant increase in muscle volume and mass. In the 300mg cohort (1,345 ± 139 ng/dL) changes similar to the 125mg cohort occurred, however more drastic, alongside an increase in strength and IGF-1.
Read these articles for the list of studies and more detail. This is heavily summarized.

A vast majority of everything I write is supported, my goal is to eventually add more citations.
Edit: I'm writing this as a reminder to rewrite stuff on Sustanon and write about how bad gel is.
