I followed the Trimits Snowdrop kit (TCK075) which was not always the most straight-forward but I am pleased with how it turned out.

I am a little obsessed with pigeons (and embroidery) so I made myself a little pigeon brooch. I basically stitched it on felt, added beads around the outside to make a little frame and then stitched on another piece of felt as backing using blanket stitch!

🖤* Cave of Cats 🐈⬛️👻
🔥Welcome to the Gateway to Hell. Muhaha!🔥
This little ditty is inspired by Oweynagat, otherwise known as the Cave of Cats, a natural limestone fissure cave in County Roscommon, Ireland. Often called the birthplace of Halloween, this eerie site is steeped in ancient Irish mythology and is believed to have served as a gateway to the Otherworld.
According to legend, fearsome supernatural beings emerged from Oweynagat around Samhain, the ancient Celtic festival marking the transition from summer to winter. Among them were three-headed monsters, destructive pigs, and magical cats. These ancient beliefs helped shape the traditions surrounding Halloween, including protective bonfires and wearing disguises to ward off wandering spirits. 🎃
✨️ Complete with gold metallic floss, green and clear seed beads, and gold velvet fabric. A refurbished vintage frame with a black and gold paint job. Hung with black velvet ribbon. Oo la la. 💕✨️

Designed this myself for a friend's 40th! I think I maybe pulled the cloth too tight and that's why it's wrinkled? Hoping I can iron it out.

Quick little embroidery project for my cousins birthday. Her Grey cat is named Violeta, so went with a two tone purple mask. She just adopted a black cat, and named him Ignacio, so had to go with the Nacho Libre mask. Safe to say she loved it 💜💙❤️

Definitely a challenge! Just learning how to place the hoop was hard. Made a Jackalope for my wife as it’s her spirit animal and made myself a brain for my Left Temporal Love Epilepsy (Floppy Fish being my online name in some places and a visual representation of my seizures :) )

Metallic and polyester thread on batik, my own design. I used paste and let dry until tacky, then brushed the leaf on.

My first embroidery ever, it’s so far away from perfect, but I can say I found a new passion-hobby, as damn, how is this not more popular, this is so damn relaxing

I wanted to get a patch of the early 00s Maple Leaf shoulder logo (apparently refered to as the "intertwined" logo) so I could sew it onto my winter jacket but... apparently you just cant buy it? Plenty of the modern, and even past, Maple Leaf logos. The St. Pats logo. You can even buy patches of the Milk jersey ad! So what the hell :p
So, it came down to just doing it myself. This os my first attempt at making a patch. I just kind of... leqrned the best way to do things as I went along :p Its not perfect, but honestly turned out a lot better than I thought it was going to. Pretty impressed with myself.

Etsy just announced some new rules that ban AI, which applies to AI generated embroidery patterns, and added an AI images report reason. It looks like they will use the reports to change Etsy rules even further, so PLEASE report all AI generated embroidery patterns you come across on there!
https://www.etsy.com/news/creativity-and-trust-in-the-age-of-ai
It says:
🔵 To help buyers see the most authentic representation of a listing, sellers will need to include at least one unaltered photo of the actual item against a real background. Any supplemental AI-assisted listing images must accurately represent the item a buyer will receive.
🔵 We’re ensuring human creativity is part of every listing by making clear that bot-generated listings without human involvement are not allowed, nor is AI use that misleads buyers or creates fraudulent inventory.
🔵 Functional guides, such as patterns and recipes, which require buyers to put in effort to achieve a finished product, cannot be created using AI. Listings for functional guides must also show a real result made using the instructions.
And also:
We're also making it easier for users to report listings they believe include misleading AI imagery, which will help us better understand how they perceive AI misuse.
I really hope this is a step towards Etsy returning to its roots.

Hello!
I'm a beginner embroiderer, and I'm wondering what you all normally do in this situation. Do you tie off the single rose before beginning another one, or do you just continue on making stitches without tying off?
I might be using the wrong terminology here, but hopefully you get what I'm saying 😆
Thanks in advance!
Forgot to add a picture, it's in the comments!

So, I only recently got into this hobby, mainly because I've always wanted to have some unique pieces of clothing, and making them yourself seems kinda fun :D. I'm totally aware that I have a lot of practice ahead of me, but I'm more than willing to put in the time needed :)
Since I don't have anyone in my friend group to ask, I thought I'd ask you guys. When embroidering T-shirts, do you have to stretch the fabric really tightly in the hoop? On my first attempt, I drew my desired pattern directly onto the fabric with a pencil. However, when I put the shirt in the hoop and stretched it, the fabric looked completely warped. In the end, I just stretched it a little, rather than as tightly as possible.
Is drawing directly onto the fabric with a pencil even a good way to do this, or would it be better to get some of that water-soluble stabilizer fabric, draw the pattern on it, and then stretch the T-shirt as tightly as possible with the stabilizer on top?
I have one more question: How do I prevent knots from forming while embroidering? Sometimes everything goes smoothly, but then I turn the shirt over and find a tangled mess of threads and knots on the back. Is it just a matter of practice, or do you have any tips for avoiding this?
If you have any other tips and tricks for embroidering T-Shirts you want fo share with, please do :)
Thanks for your help! :)

I had a really hard time ironing the fabric for this one, but the final result looks good.
