face/ears/eyes/nose/mouth/cheeks Help needed with this situation

Post image

Hey everyone, I’m looking for some advice on my current skin situation shown in the photo. These flare-ups don't happen all the time, but once they pop up, they are hard to get rid of.

I have oily skin and could really use some insight on how to handle them.

My Current Routine:

• Cleanser: Simple Refreshing Facial Wash (strictly just this)

• Moisturizer: Rituals Anti-Dryness Lotion (no strict preference, just what I'm using right now)

• Sunscreen: Recently switched to Re'equil Ultra Matte Dry Touch Sunscreen (was using Dot n Key before)

My Questions:

  1. How do I clean/wipe my face without triggering them? It feels like whenever I wash my face, they pop up. Even worse, if I am just gently wiping my face with a towel, they accidentally burst. How should I handle washing and drying my face to prevent this?

  2. How do I treat the leftover texture? Once the breakouts finally settle down, I am left with a distinct bumpiness on the skin in that exact spot. What can I use to smooth out that texture?

Appreciate any help, routine tweaks, or product recommendations you can share! Thank you!

Your routine is great! Try implementing an exfoliant such as a salicylic acid face wash in the evenings, or toner. You can also try using Benzoyl peroxide as a spot treatment on active spots. As for wiping your face, gently wash your face in the sink with just your hands, and then pat try with a clean cloth.
