Human Ear Fatigue After Listening
How long does it take for a normal human to feel their ears are tired after listening or DJing to a set for hours? Like how normal is normal?

I have been checking Model 1 mixers but they seem to be out of stock everywhere.
Any info about it? Are they discontinued or what?
Ladies and gentlemen, fellow DJs, vinyl enthusiasts and distinguished members of the congregation…
It is with great sadness (and a slight ringing in my ears) that I announce the passing of my beloved Gemini PMX-18.
My first proper mixer. The one that taught me to mix, abuse a crossfader in the name of scratching, and occasionally convince myself I was the next DJ EZ.
She served me faithfully throughout the 90s and beyond. Through countless mixes, questionable transitions, and some truly unforgettable nights.
Then life kicked in. Responsibilities arrived. The decks were packed away, and she was placed into retirement. Preserved in the archives, awaiting the day she’d be called back into service.
Well, brothers and sisters… that day finally came.
I dusted her off, connected everything up, fired up the 1210s, and prepared for our glorious reunion.
And lo and behold…
EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. 🔊
A high-pitched hum straight from the gates of hell.
After some troubleshooting, the verdict was in. The old girl had finally sung her last tune. Unfortunately, it was in a frequency nobody wanted to hear.
So today, we gather to honour her memory.
Say a prayer for the souls she served, the ears she blessed, the dancefloors she seduced, and the neighbours she undoubtedly pissed off.
May she be laid to rest with dignity, her faders forever at unity, her channels eternally open.
And should the day come when the waste collector carries her away in the back of his mighty chariot, may he treat her with the respect she deserves. 🪦
But as one chapter closes, another begins…
A new lady has entered the booth.
Sleek. Sexy. Analogue. Ready for action.
Brothers and sisters, I present to you…
The Allen & Heath Xone:24. 🔥
May her filters be smooth, her faders be faithful, and her soul serve me and the crew for many glorious years to come.
In the name of the vinyl, the mixer and the holy bassline.
AMEN. 🙏🎶
Now, fellow DJs… who else still remembers their first mixer? And is yours still alive, or has it joined the great DJ booth in the sky?

I’m moving my business into a railway archway and will be hosting events here and will need a solid sound system. Not one I’m massively clued up on.
Is a decent sized space 14m long and 7.5m wide, had been thinking to go with a pair of Sub zero c10a’s as the main speakers further to the back of the unit with a pair of SubZero SZS-P5Y 5" mounted to the walls nearer the front.
Being able to control the system via Bluetooth is key and we will still need it to interface with decks/ laptops. Had been looking at an Adastra RM244V but feel it’s abit pricy for my needs.
Base wise I had been looking at an Alto Professional TS12S Which would be sat further into the unit along with the main speakers.
Any recommendations or anything like that greatly appreciated 👍
Budget - ideally not much higher than this kit which totals just under £1.2k
Location - south east London
Use - will be used for day to day music playing and events

Check out their Facebook page! Looks like a 4 channel all in one.
