- 011. Any data with AOE magic can thrive here. Easy win. (Side note: I dubbed this opponent the easiest: Susanomon's Heaven's Thunder into Boltmon, then Kuzuhamon AOE, and Pumpkinmon Sonic Voids MetalEtemon for a speedran victory.)

- 050. Do whatever it takes to win that you believe is best. Piedmon takes priority, unless Kerpymon Blk spams penetration damage. Kerpymon Blk and LadyDevimon are annoying healers too. Support End on LadyDevimon to neuter their dark skill damage. Chip them down for your Data~Light~Physicalmons in the backline. Or, pick a god and pray you win somehow and someway. If possible, INT break field them to nerf them to the ground. Character Reversal them for your Vaccine~Light~Physicalmons to clean up.

Huge Win Factor: A.O.E (Area Of Effect)
Knowing the right type, attribute, and skills to win games are all great. There's one other important fact, which is the damage class either being magical or physical. And from there, having access to AOE damage of either class can be the difference between an absolute-win and winning while scraping by. These are the opponents summed up with that ideal in mind.
Key: T/A/C is short for Type / Attribute / Class
If no attribute is pinned down, default to dark for that extra +50% dark skill increase. If no, then default to light as second-
| Opponent = Problems | T/A/C weaknesses | The Solutions |
|---|---|---|
| 004: PlatinumNume, Puppet, Machinedra | Data / Dark / Magic | Hell Crusher III, Kuzuha |
| 007: Pied, Kuzuha, Lotos | Vaccine / Light / Physic | Susano, Goldra, or UlforceVeedra |
| 009: Diaboro x2, Imperialdra DM | N~A / Light / Magic* | (See my sheet) |
| 011: MetalEte, Bolt, Minerva | Data / Dark / Magic | Hell Crusher III, Kuzuha |
| 026: Rose BM, MetalEte, Plesio | Vaccine / N~A / Physic* | (See my sheet) |
| 044: Minerva, Darkdra, Tita | Data / N~A / Magic | Hell Crusher III, Kuzuha |
| 045: SaberLeo, Diaboro, Beelze | Data~Vacci* / Light / Magic | (See my sheet) |
| 050: Pied, Kerpy Blk, LadyDevi | Data~Vacci* / Light / Physic | Crickets - Susano, Goldra, or UlforceVeedra w/ extra steps. |
| 056: Diaboro, Dorugora, VenomMyotis | Vaccine~Viru* / Light / Magic | (See my sheet) |
No wonder Kuzuhamon and Susanomon feel so good. Here are more in-depth notes about mastering the rules--
Event Battle Boost
At said Digimon's current level, all virus Digimon gain +30% more ATK, DEF, INT, and SPD. But there's a calculation process to this with specific priority:
- Base stats
- Farm-trained stats (usually never allowed. RIP.)
- Personality patch boost
- Event Battle boost (in this case, the +30% Viral boost)
- Equipment additions
- Support skills/Passives
So in case anyone wondered, that's why the virus boost won't apply to the equipment stats. Fortunately, support skills are calculated as the final step-boost, further increasing the final number. Knowing this, the virus Digimon that have a stat passive steroids and multiple equip slots greatly benefit from this fact:
- Increases DEF by 15% - Gigadramon
- Increases ATK, and Earth skill damage by 10% - Groundramon, Brakedramon
- Increases ATK by 15% - SkullGreymon, MetalGreymon B, BlackWarGreymon
- Increases ATK, DEF, INT, and SPD by 5% - WarGrowlmon, Gallantmon
- Increases ATK and INT by 10% - ChaosGallantmon
- Increases INT by 50% below 25% HP - Creepymon
- At the end of the turn, –5% HP for +5% ATK - Beelzemon
- Increases ATK by 10% and absorption effects by 30% - Beelzemon BM
- Increases ATK, Fire, and Dark skill damage all by 10% - Megidramon
- Increases SPD by 15% - Merukimon
- Increases ATK, DEF, INT, and SPD by 10% - Gallantmon CM
Neat! I don't list them all, but some good criteria that highlight virus Digimon is HP % chippers, stronger dark skill damage, absorption effects, devastating penetration damage, and bonus status inflictions from specials.
- I don't mention enough Digimon from Ultimate stage or lower, but shoutouts to:
- Physic - all Arcadiamons, Gazimon, Dracmon, Hagurumon, DemiDevimon, Ogremon, Sangloupmon, Devimon, Sistermon Ciel, Sistermon C (Awake.), SkullGreymon, BlackKingNumemon, and Matadormon.
- Magic - Impmon, Bakemon, BlackGatomon, Lucemon FM, and Wisemon.
- Giving shoutouts to other good high-level virus Digimon include:

Dark skill Encyclopedia
Of course, a higher ATK or INT stat will always be important. However, a skill's base damage is vital too. This time around, dark~magic skills are a huge win condition. Yet, dark~physical skills also have a place. Knowing that, these are all the notable dark skills with some fun facts that warrant some praise:
- 58 dark skills exist, but only 55 are boosted.
- auto-attacks are included if the Digimon's inherent attribute is dark.
- +50% dark skill damage is great, and that can additively stack with up to three Nightmare Solder passives for a massive total of +95% more DSD(?)
- great NS candidates include:
- SkullSatamon, Myotismon, LadyDevimon, GranDracmon*, VenomMyotismon, and Phantomon.
- the passives that increase dark skill damage with the respective Digimon include:
- Nightmare Solders - increases dark skill damage by 15%. Gazimon, DemiDevimon, Devimon, BlackGatomon, Myotismon, SkullSatamon, Phantomon, LadyDevimon, and VenomMyotismon.
- Legend-Arms - increases light and dark skill damage by 10%. Zubamon, ZubaEagermon, Duramon, and Durandamon.
- Vampire King - increases HP from absorption effects by 25%, and dark skill damage by 10%. GranDracmon only.
- Digital Hazard - increases ATK, fire, and dark skill damage all by 10%. Megidramon only.
- Parallel World Tactician - increases HP recovery effects, light, and dark skill damage all by 10%. Mastemon only.
- Obsidian Knight - increases DEF, water, and dark skill damage all by 10%. Omnimon Zwart only.
- Dark-Lgt, Thunder-Cannon - increases electric, water, light, and dark skill damage all by 8%. MagnaGarurumon and MagnaGarurumon (SV) only.
- Pride - increases damage from all attribute skills by 5% (including dark). Lucemon FM only.
