❓Wallet Stop using trust wallet immediately

Last week I had all my btc drained from my wallet (just under .38) I had every security feature enabled Face ID/pin requirements. My seed phrase is kept on paper in a fire proof safe and it has seen the light of day once which was about a year and a half ago on a brand new iPhone when I put trust wallet on it. Its not even possible for me to leak my seed phrase that piece of paper is the only thing in the world that has it, there’s no picture no notes app there is absolutely nothing(which is why I purchased a fire proof safe in the first place) I haven’t downloaded any unknown apps, no one has attempted to airdrop anything to me, no suspicious links in any emails, and I was not connected to dApp or anything like that. It’s not like I’m a day trader I only had maybe a handful of transactions with it per year, I actually didn’t realize it was drained till days after because I barely use it. I work for a tech company and undergo regular cyber security training I know all of the scams.

I have opened a case with my local police(and IC3) and am “working” with trust wallet support team but they don’t seem very interested in getting to the bottom of this, it takes them about 24 hours between replies. Hopefully this will help 1 person so it will be worth it please don’t let this happen to you get all your crypto off trust wallet as fast as you can.

The way I see it there are 2 scenarios:

Best case scenario it’s possible to hack into trust wallet.

Worst case scenario trust wallet is working with people to get into your wallet

Please do not respond to anyone who may be sending you private messages. Anyone sending you private messages is very likely trying to scam you. I commend you for already filing the police report and reaching out to IC3. Chin up I hope you can recover from this.

Was the wallet created on a phone that you then traded in for a new phone? Even if you wipe that phone clean your seed will forever live on it.

I don't know why people would use them after Milk Sad.

if there is no smart contract permission or seed phrase leaked. it's brute force by your close, or any random ai , quantum see the vulnerability in the smart contract.

actually, now i'm accepting some loss and avoid keeping much on non custodial. keep some in cex and main in etf. i'm small investors, and can't take high nowadays

Have you checked the smart contract permissions on the wallet?

Due to Trust wallet going from open source to proprietary plus a customer attention not worth the name I switched to other wallets.
If drained you do nothing. For the future distribute coins over several wallets.

I believe that you tried to do all the right steps, yet visiting a malicious site that appears official, or downloading an infected file, or a installing the wrong app can result in a compromised phone. We didn’t even speak about a person you trust having access to your safe and taking a picture of it ( not actually draining you). There’s a lot of scenarios. The only thing I can say to you that I am sorry for your loss and do not reply to any DM since they are all scammers.
