I recently did a coolant flush and replaced my hoses and cap! It would appear I’m now losing coolant from the TOP of my coolant cap? It’s a brand new cap… no overheating issues. And an o-ring where it appears to be seeping from didn’t fix the issue. What gives? Anyone see this before?

2000 XJ. Have a whistling sound sometimes that stops when I accelerate. Usually only happens first time it's driven that day. Just replaced my belt and tensioner pulley and it still happens from time to time. Any guesses?

Hi, I have a 1998 Jeep Cherokee XJ 4.0 AW4.
Jeep ran perfectly before being parked for 5 months. Now absolutely no crank, not even a click from the starter. Dash lights work.
Troubleshooting so far:
Battery fully charged: 12.9V.
No crank in Park or Neutral.
Tried 3 different starter relays. All click.
Relay terminal 30: 12.69V during START.
Terminal 86: 12.40V during START.
Terminal 85: Ground appears OK.
Terminal 87: 0V during START, relay installed.
Continuity confirmed between terminal 87 and starter solenoid trigger wire.
Starter main power cable has voltage.
Solenoid trigger wire: only 0.4V during START.
Immobilizer light turns off normally.
What could cause this? What should I test next?
Thanks!!

Hello All,
I'm thinking about replacing the engine in my XJ. It hardly makes any oil pressure and I suspect that it may have a cracked piston skirt or piston slap at the very least. It runs fine for now, but I used to like to take my jeep on road trips and now I don't have as much confidence in it as I used to. For years now I've been thinking about replacing the engine but I really think it needs to be done sooner rather than later.
A couple options I was pondering are:
Buying a used engine off of facebook or craigslist and freshening it up a little. Not a complete rebuild but changing somethings while it is out and accessible.
Buying a re manufactured long block. Initially seemed like the more expensive route but now not so much and it should save time. I would like to find a block that has a better head. I don't want to deal with the 0331 head again. Worst case scenario is I can re-use the clearwater head from my current motor. Another concern I had is I'm not sure which blocks I can use. I saw somewhere that if I use an older distributor block I'd have to rig up a mount for my coil rail? Are there any other concerns I should be aware of?
I do have the tools I need to do a swap, including the hoist, and a shop to do it in. Although I have never tackled a project that large before. Most mechanically involved thing I have done so far is a clutch replacement on a foxbody mustang. How long would a project like this take? My jeep is my daily driver although I do have a secondary vehicle in the meantime.

Leaf springs in the back are flattened out and almost ready to go inverted and I'm debating on between getting new stock leaf springs or going for a 3-in lift. Which one do you think would be better?. Not going on trails but I do live in appalachia and it's going to be my winter vehicle.
