I swear every class Im in someone makes a discord and thats all cool and wtv but like why when i ask about an assignment, the class, or anything it’s a ghost town. No one speaks! Like why do people join if they aren’t gonna say anything? If it was just one class i’d say fine but like even classes where i know a lot of the people. It’s always someone asks a question and just crickets. Please start socializing and talking to your fellow classmates it’s not gonna kill you. Especially since I’m a sociology major like guys this is your job… please!! I’m begging!!

yesterday, as i was peacefully walking to my second class on a nice cold morning and a coffee in my hand, i saw a warning saying "warning: graphic images ahead," and i was like huh? why so? and from far away, i saw a bunch of body parts covered in blood, idk what its abt but i heard its abt anti-abortion? but man i was shocked, and then few hrs later i saw those old ppl convincing ppl to read or get the bible? wtf? how is this allowed? look, idgaf if trigger warnings were added, idc if its a public campus, STOP DISPLAYING GORE AND WEIRD SHI IN FRONT OF PPL TRYING TO GO TO CLASS AND STOP FORCING UR RELIGION ONTO OTHERS!!! PLEASE, what has sac state become? crazy how some students get suspended for speaking up for palenstine yet weird shi here is allowed

idk if its just me but i loved going to Honeybee boba slightly outside of campus. I haven't stopped by in a while and when I walked in today I realized they completely removed their self serve bar and many menu options. they added more couches which is cool since people like to study there but there was plenty of seating before. anyone else kinda upset about this change or just me?

What are the easiest classes to take to fufill my last 8 units while im doing my last 3 important classes to graduate? im down to do easy classes from cc’s as well.

I’ve seen a few of these by the library today are these left over from an event or something or is something happening today ?

Professor Keegan's Ideas and Skills in Geography class is conducting a survey of CSUS affiliates' choices, views, and concerns on transportation to and from campus including transportation infrastructure, public transit infrastructure, and what factors play a role in how folks are getting to and from campus.

We've done our best to make it a quick survey (~10 - 15 min.)

For anyone willing to take a few to complete it, it is greatly appreciated.

I am confused to what was done without my foreknowledge by my department. What does this mean? For my major, I minor in business. However I haven’t reached the qualifications to submit an application for so with the business department.

wondering if anyone is experiencing trouble with student center right now. and if not, anyone know where to go to to get it resolved? my account has been down well over a week. canvas and all other accounts are working oddly enough.

Was it included in the State University Grant?

Hello, I already claimed my 8 tickets for winter commencement. They said possibly later on more might be available to claim. Previous graduates, is this true? If so, how many? When do they let us know? I’m hoping for 2 more tickets.

Anything new or random? Or just feeling a certain way?

Does the school provide/does anyone know where to get a typing cert that you would include in your portfolio when applying to state jobs?

Has anyone here applied for a second bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering? I graduated from a UC with a degree in Statistics and am hoping to pivot careers. I currently work full time, so I’m looking to attend school part time. How was the application process, and were you able to balance school with work?

If a professor's syllabus states they will report you for AI in the language on the syllabus does this mean they will not be allowing you to show the burden of proof or allow a formal request for review? I really do not like being inconvenienced in such a manner and now I feel I have a duty to teach them about the legend of the boy who cried wolf, so to speak.

hello i had applied and i did get the thank you for applying we will send your sac state id soon but i havnt got anything its been like a week.

I received an email last Monday that it was released and would be in my account within a day or two. It's been a week, but it still has not arrived. They said if I haven't received it within four days, that there could be a problem with the account information I have provided. However, I received my federal loan at that account at the beginning of the semester, and more recently I received (literally the Friday before receiving the email) a $90 refund from the school because it was decided they had overcharged our whole major.

I guess I'm just wondering if I should be worried?

Like title said, whenever I tried to enter the student center portal, it redirects me to campus solutions and a text box shows up and says my user ID and/or password are invalid. What do I do?

I don't think our CS curriculum teaching Java is going to help us in the current job market. I know I certainly don't like it, even though I've used it for the last 4 years, and I know a lot of you are transfer students who have never coded in Java until now.

I believe that if I could gather a group of people to talk to our department chair, Mr Ouyang, and complain about this, we could get it changed before we graduate. And even if we can't, I think its a good idea to do this for future Sac State students. I also think we should argue for replacing CSC 133 with an intro to AI/Neural Networks class since that's more relevant to the job market and would teach students future skills like how to code properly in Python as well as important linear algebra topics that would make you a valuable programmer today.

I'd like for a group of 5-10 people (including myself) to go to his office hours which are:
Monday 10:30-12:00AM
Wednesday 2:00-3:30PM

If you're interested, please respond to my message here and friend me, and message me on Discord. I'll friend you, and I'll make a group chat about it

(Just as an added note, I know some of you don't want to change, and that's fine; I only want people to come with me if they truly agree with what I'm saying. But if you don't want to come with me because you think it won't make a difference, I pray that you're at least willing to try because nothing will change if we don't do anything)

How would I go to rate the Cost Analysis class? How much time do you dedicate to study time for this class? I am a working professional working full time and have a part time job. I have been out of school for 16 yrs.
