hi, I’m expecting in the spring and a bit overwhelmed by the stroller options. I’m looking for stroller(s) to accommodate city lifestyle (frequent walks, stairs, transit, lots of travel both in car (would like to not take up the whole trunk space) and plane (I’m fine with gate checking and not fitting in overhead, I just don’t want it too heavy or oversized). I doubt we will need heavy storage or even an option for car seat. I’m eyeing the travel strollers, maybe with the bassinet add on option but I’m concerned about the period when they’re past the lay flat but still rear facing? Can I just accommodate this period with more carriers? It’s temporary. or can they realistically just go to forward facing and be fine.
I also want the stroller to be durable, for city sidewalks and frequent use. I think I scrapped the stokke. I’m looking at the joolz aer3, the nuna trvl, or the uppababy minu v2-v3. I’m open to other brands too. With these being such an investment I’d like them to be worth it. But maybe I should just go for a solid midsize and then get a cheaper travel stroller? or a solid 6+ travel option and a cheaper 0-6 month stroller?
I also do have an old graco frame for a full size midtown premiere stroller with a car seat. I’d have to buy basically another one used for about 150, to get the seat Because my sister in law is still using seat on her new double stroller.
I mean at that point I can get like any full or midsized used stroller to accommodate early months and larger options. Id like a one size fits all but idk sometimes those just really aren’t practical.
ok… thanks for making it this far. Any and all opinions are helpful.
