European Product A List of Olive Oil Producers with Free Shipping Available

I use extra virgin olive oil for almost everything I cook, so every year, in October/November, I restock and order freshly harvested olive oil directly from the olive mills.

I did a little research, and besides the few producers I always order from, I found a few others that offer free shipping on orders over a certain amount. Here’s the list:

Name and country Free shipping above Website
Suerte Alta (Spain) €100 https://www.suertealta.es/en/
Amboli (Spain) €120 https://amboli.es/
Sopato (Greece) Free for every order https://sopato.com/
Alexandros Biofarm (Greece) €100 https://alexandrosbiofarm.com/
PONS (Spain) €200 https://pons1945.com/en/collections/nova-collita
Reinos de Taifas (Spain) Free for every order https://reinosdetaifas.com/eu/
Itoliva (Italy) €149 https://itoliva.it/en/shop/
Shufra di Shufra (Italy) Free for every order https://shufradishufra.com/

There are other producers that ship across the EU but they don’t offer free shipping:

If you have any other producers to recommend, please share them!

News Europe’s underrated digital trailblazing • At the frontier of public digital money, the EU is slowly developing a geopolitical monetary strategy

Last month, the European Central Bank’s “Project Pontes” went live. Pontes makes central bank reserves available as a cash settlement asset for tokenised securities trading. It is an early step on the ECB’s broader roadmap for tokenised finance, named Appia. And by the end of the year, the EU’s governments are expected to finalise a legislative proposal for the digital euro, a retail central bank digital currency (CBDC).

The progress on these initiatives puts Europe at the forefront of building a public monetary architecture for the digital age. (The US, in contrast, has prohibited work on a CBDC.) A recent paper by Agnès Bénassy-Quéré, deputy governor of France’s central bank, sets out the various parts of the overarching policy framework pursued by the Eurozone. As her title puts it, “Europe has a plan”. It includes the retail digital currency, the wholesale architecture for tokenised finance and steps to link European payment systems to those of other economies.

That plan has emerged in response to several overlapping policy concerns. One has to do with sovereignty: a decade ago, European policymakers were dismayed that they couldn’t implement their different policy towards Iran — allowing more trade in return for nuclear commitments — because the US threatened to sanction any financial institution facilitating payment. As it turned out, no European financial institution would risk jeopardising access to US-centred payment systems. Since then, US financial sanctions have disabled banking services for officials of international courts resident in the Eurozone.

The need for domestic digital payment systems is also a matter of commercial and financial interest. Card payments in most Eurozone countries rely entirely on US providers, which naturally take a cut of the intra-European transactions they settle. Many online wallets are also US based. And for the public sector, too, it matters who issues whatever is used as money — both for control over monetary conditions and for seigniorage, the income made from money creation.

A final political motivation is to increase the international use of the euro — a goal the EU has explicitly set itself but is not doing anywhere near enough to achieve. As another good report (this one from the European Macro Policy Network), titled “Building the Global Euro”, points out, this is related to the other goals. Reducing Europe’s debilitating dependence on the dollar system — a dependence the report explains in detail — requires many steps that would, at the same time, make the euro a more attractive trading, settlement and reserve currency globally.

The report makes clear that creating a solid digital infrastructure for the euro is not enough to make this happen. Much bigger policy shifts, including, in particular, more common EU debt issuance, are necessary for that. The EMPN report sets out an excellent roadmap of what is needed and proposes institutional tweaks that could increase political momentum for the required steps.

European Product I built an EU‑based, GDPR‑compliant MCP that provides the Mistral AI Agent with over 400 tools.

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

• Upvotes

If you're an individual or a team using APIs through Mistral agents to get work done like:

  • converting files
  • running OCR on scans
  • generating real PDFs
  • validating data
  • pulling live information
  • invoice parsing
  • video compression
  • video format conversion

These are a few things an AI assistant like Mistral can do, but it either can't do them on its own or does them poorly and/or inconsistently.

Usually, when you have too many tools, the context grows and token usage rises significantly.

For European teams with data residency requirements, if a customer's security team asks where personal data is processed, we provide a visible hosting location for each service, have EU infrastructure, and are based in the Netherlands.

To solve this, we built the Apyhub MCP. You can easily use it with Mistral or any other EU-based AI agent of your choice (as shown in the tutorial).

We recently crossed 5 years in the business.

Feel free to try it comes with a free plan. I'm really open to feedback, whether it's criticism or ideas that add value, especially those that help decrease dependence on U.S. providers.

European Product My local REWE has expanded their selection of Brets‘ crisps

Post image
862 Upvotes

Brets has become one of my favourite brands and manufacturers of crisps ever since my local REWE (a German supermarket chain) started stocking a few varieties on a trial basis about a year and a half ago. They’ve now expanded their range to include several more varieties, and I couldn’t be happier!

Brets’ crisps are made in France from potatoes grown there.

🔎Looking for alternative What will be the European equivalent to META social media?

Hey everyone, greetings from Belgium. :)

Excuse me if this question has been asked already. I just joined the sub.

Day by day I'm getting more aware of how much I invest(ed) in META. Instagram, Facebook, ... I feel it's time to start moving away from these platforms and look for European alternatives.

I don't even particularly enjoy using social media anymore. Mainly using Instagram because I'm a music producer and DJ, and it's become almost essential for promoting my music, connecting with people, discovering artists and staying involved in the scene.

The people I want to connect with are all on IG. The artists, promoters, venues, friends, communities... They're all on the same platforms. And as long as everyone stays, it feels almost impossible to leave without losing those connections.

I would genuinely love to invest my time, content and energy into a European alternative. Something that respects its users, values privacy and isn't entirely driven by advertising and algorithms.

  • Is there a serious European alternative to Instagram and Facebook in the making?
  • Which platforms have the potential to attract a genuinely large audience?
  • Is it realistic to expect a mass migration away from Meta, or has it simply become too powerful?

Is there already something worth supporting? And more importantly, how do we get people to move?

Discussion What effect could "100% EU-made" have if we manage to achieve it?

A hypothetical question. What if one day we all decide to source all materials to be from EU? No import oil from Middle East, tech from USA and electronics from China. Will it boost our industry and economy? What is your view on that?

News Petition · Hold a Parliamentary Debate on Palantir’s Role in UK Defence, Security & Public Services

UK citizens may be interested in signing this petition in the light of an increase in surveillance in American life which could leak into Europe. Also as it's part of a bigger movement which has seen several recent incidents of concern where the American super rich have used their influence over communications to sway public opinion and to influence electoral and even military outcomes, proving themselves unreliable. Palantir is headed by Peter Thiel who is influenced by The Dark Enlightenment. If you don't want this anti-democratic presence to grow in Europe, you may like to start here. Thank you. Hopefully there is a European alternative.

Discussion What TLDs should we be using for email?

As far as I know all general top-level domains are dependent on the American ICANN and IANA, unlike country-code TLDs which are only dependent on IANA, which follows the ISO standard for country codes (and other special codes like EU).

Is that right? If so, we should be using ccTLDs if we want more independece from the US.

But which ones? There's your local ccTLD, ccTLDs from other countries (like .me from Montenegro), and .eu.

The only problem with .eu is that it requires proof of EU citizenship or residency, meaning that if your country leaves the EU you also lose your domain, which already happened to many people from the UK.

The Swiss .ch is also an option. It's open for registration to everyone and is operated by the most neutral country in the world, with great privacy laws.

Then there's also the question about registrars. Which ones do you recommend? INWX? OVH? Hetzner? Infomaniak?

And of course you have to pick an email provider too, but this topic has already been discussed extensively. Some European options are Proton, Tuta, malbox.org, and Posteo.

🔎Looking for alternative Title: Looking for LLM API Providers — Competitive Wholesale Pricing & Long-Term Partnerships

Hi everyone,

I'm building an LLM API distribution business and looking for reliable API providers, inference platforms, and authorized upstream partners.

What I bring:

  • Customer acquisition: Developing downstream customer relationships and expanding distribution channels.
  • Business growth: Focusing on recurring demand and long-term partnerships.
  • API operations: Working toward reliable API integration, usage tracking, and budget management.
  • Customer support: Helping customers with onboarding and ongoing service needs.
  • Scalable cooperation: Starting with a small pilot and increasing volume as demand grows.

What I'm looking for:

  • Competitive wholesale and volume-based pricing.
  • Stable API performance and clear rate limits.
  • Access to multiple LLM models.
  • Written authorization for commercial resale.
  • Transparent billing, documentation, and technical support.

My goal is to build a sustainable distribution channel that creates long-term value for both sides, rather than making one-off purchases.

If you operate an LLM API service or authorized reseller program, I'd love to connect.

Please share your official website, supported models, pricing structure, and reseller terms.

I'm open to starting with a small technical evaluation before discussing larger volumes.

Looking forward to connecting with serious partners!

Thanks!

European Product Spiridon 100% EU sports clothing brand - experience?

Does anyone have experience with Spiridon?

While looking for running tees I found the Spiridon Salvan Long Sleeve which looks right up my alley with its lyocell x merino composition. They promise 100% European production (France & Portugal).
In short, I am almost ready to throw my money at them but I wanted to avoid that if there is a known catch. TIA

Discussion Question about the jobs these new EU prods&services create

Hi All, maybe it's been asked, but i read a lot about the unreliable US services and products and that EU should / is developing their own.

If this has already started in ANY direction, where are all the jobs these R&D projects create?Every European "job related" sub i see (German, UK, French, Dutch, etc) or news i see have no trace of such..On the contrary, closing manufacturies, difficulties with finding skilled jobs and so on..

This seems to be quite controversial to me...are we(Europe) investing in our own services and create jobs to help it or closing the existing?

Désolé en français. Question sincère.

🔎Looking for alternative Size 35 heels (small shoe sizes)

I wear size 35 shoes, and I'm just barely over the line there. My closet has been filled with dozens of size 36 shoes that I fooled myself into thinking I could make it work, but I can't.

For athletic shoes, sandals, and flats I can just wear children's shoes without a problem, but for heels (and dressy boots with heels) I am always at a loss. I ask at every store I go to in the Netherlands whether they carry size 35 with no luck.

For years I would buy my shoes at Bershka or Stradivarius despite the fact that they were cheaply produced garbage because they at least carried my size in the store. Now they've stopped so I'd have to order online anyway, might as well do it right.

I want nice leather boots with a tall heel and professional looking heels, both in black. The kind of very ordinary shoes made by almost every brand, only going down to size 35.

(And a real 35. If they translate it to a 5.5 US, it won't work. I can't remember what brand it is that does this, but I've been burnt by it multiple times before. It must not be a European brand anyway because the US size is accurate while the European one is not.)
