I use extra virgin olive oil for almost everything I cook, so every year, in October/November, I restock and order freshly harvested olive oil directly from the olive mills.

I did a little research, and besides the few producers I always order from, I found a few others that offer free shipping on orders over a certain amount. Here’s the list:

There are other producers that ship across the EU but they don’t offer free shipping:

If you have any other producers to recommend, please share them!

Hey everyone, greetings from Belgium. :)

Excuse me if this question has been asked already. I just joined the sub.

Day by day I'm getting more aware of how much I invest(ed) in META. Instagram, Facebook, ... I feel it's time to start moving away from these platforms and look for European alternatives.

I don't even particularly enjoy using social media anymore. Mainly using Instagram because I'm a music producer and DJ, and it's become almost essential for promoting my music, connecting with people, discovering artists and staying involved in the scene.

The people I want to connect with are all on IG. The artists, promoters, venues, friends, communities... They're all on the same platforms. And as long as everyone stays, it feels almost impossible to leave without losing those connections.

I would genuinely love to invest my time, content and energy into a European alternative. Something that respects its users, values privacy and isn't entirely driven by advertising and algorithms.

• Is there a serious European alternative to Instagram and Facebook in the making?
• Which platforms have the potential to attract a genuinely large audience?
• Is it realistic to expect a mass migration away from Meta, or has it simply become too powerful?

Is there already something worth supporting? And more importantly, how do we get people to move?

A hypothetical question. What if one day we all decide to source all materials to be from EU? No import oil from Middle East, tech from USA and electronics from China. Will it boost our industry and economy? What is your view on that?

Brets has become one of my favourite brands and manufacturers of crisps ever since my local REWE (a German supermarket chain) started stocking a few varieties on a trial basis about a year and a half ago. They’ve now expanded their range to include several more varieties, and I couldn’t be happier!

Brets’ crisps are made in France from potatoes grown there.

Hi everyone,

I'm building an LLM API distribution business and looking for reliable API providers, inference platforms, and authorized upstream partners.

What I bring:

• Customer acquisition: Developing downstream customer relationships and expanding distribution channels.
• Business growth: Focusing on recurring demand and long-term partnerships.
• API operations: Working toward reliable API integration, usage tracking, and budget management.
• Customer support: Helping customers with onboarding and ongoing service needs.
• Scalable cooperation: Starting with a small pilot and increasing volume as demand grows.

What I'm looking for:

• Competitive wholesale and volume-based pricing.
• Stable API performance and clear rate limits.
• Access to multiple LLM models.
• Written authorization for commercial resale.
• Transparent billing, documentation, and technical support.

My goal is to build a sustainable distribution channel that creates long-term value for both sides, rather than making one-off purchases.

If you operate an LLM API service or authorized reseller program, I'd love to connect.

Please share your official website, supported models, pricing structure, and reseller terms.

I'm open to starting with a small technical evaluation before discussing larger volumes.

Looking forward to connecting with serious partners!

Thanks!

As far as I know all general top-level domains are dependent on the American ICANN and IANA, unlike country-code TLDs which are only dependent on IANA, which follows the ISO standard for country codes (and other special codes like EU).

Is that right? If so, we should be using ccTLDs if we want more independece from the US.

But which ones? There's your local ccTLD, ccTLDs from other countries (like .me from Montenegro), and .eu.

The only problem with .eu is that it requires proof of EU citizenship or residency, meaning that if your country leaves the EU you also lose your domain, which already happened to many people from the UK.

The Swiss .ch is also an option. It's open for registration to everyone and is operated by the most neutral country in the world, with great privacy laws.

Then there's also the question about registrars. Which ones do you recommend? INWX? OVH? Hetzner? Infomaniak?

And of course you have to pick an email provider too, but this topic has already been discussed extensively. Some European options are Proton, Tuta, malbox.org, and Posteo.

Ich suche eine All-in-One-App aus Europa, mit der ich Word- und PDF-Dateien öffnen und bearbeiten kann.

UK citizens may be interested in signing this petition in the light of an increase in surveillance in American life which could leak into Europe. Also as it's part of a bigger movement which has seen several recent incidents of concern where the American super rich have used their influence over communications to sway public opinion and to influence electoral and even military outcomes, proving themselves unreliable. Palantir is headed by Peter Thiel who is influenced by The Dark Enlightenment. If you don't want this anti-democratic presence to grow in Europe, you may like to start here. Thank you. Hopefully there is a European alternative.

Looking for a household kitchen scale produced in Europe. Alternatively a small professional scale. I can only find scales produced in China, also for Kern a.o. German companies.

Désolé en français. Question sincère.

Our company currently uses Cleverbridge to sell licenses of our products. We search for an alternative that - handles all payments world-wide - supports single-payment purchases, monthly and yearly subscriptions (the latter with renewal reminder email support) - supports delivery of license files generated by our license server - works reliable

What platforms could you suggest?

I want to buy a used ps5 from kleinanzeigen and i cant contact sellers because i need german number. Can someone help me?

Does anyone have experience with Spiridon?

While looking for running tees I found the Spiridon Salvan Long Sleeve which looks right up my alley with its lyocell x merino composition. They promise 100% European production (France & Portugal).
In short, I am almost ready to throw my money at them but I wanted to avoid that if there is a known catch. TIA

Hi All, maybe it's been asked, but i read a lot about the unreliable US services and products and that EU should / is developing their own.

If this has already started in ANY direction, where are all the jobs these R&D projects create?Every European "job related" sub i see (German, UK, French, Dutch, etc) or news i see have no trace of such..On the contrary, closing manufacturies, difficulties with finding skilled jobs and so on..

This seems to be quite controversial to me...are we(Europe) investing in our own services and create jobs to help it or closing the existing?

I’m looking for an EU supplier of Stovax parts that will deliver to anywhere in the EU.
I have found pieces-de-poele.com but they only deliver to a few specific countries. Any supplier options out there?

I'm looking for a backpack for daily use, in the days where I won't bring my laptop to uni. I'll buy it second hand, but I still want to buy a durable, European backpack.

When I was younger I had an Eastpak (I know it's not an European), and while I liked it at the time, I know would rather have a backpack with more pockets than just the one.

In terms of style, I would like something either unisex or more feminine.

Any suggestions?

I wear size 35 shoes, and I'm just barely over the line there. My closet has been filled with dozens of size 36 shoes that I fooled myself into thinking I could make it work, but I can't.

For athletic shoes, sandals, and flats I can just wear children's shoes without a problem, but for heels (and dressy boots with heels) I am always at a loss. I ask at every store I go to in the Netherlands whether they carry size 35 with no luck.

For years I would buy my shoes at Bershka or Stradivarius despite the fact that they were cheaply produced garbage because they at least carried my size in the store. Now they've stopped so I'd have to order online anyway, might as well do it right.

I want nice leather boots with a tall heel and professional looking heels, both in black. The kind of very ordinary shoes made by almost every brand, only going down to size 35.

(And a real 35. If they translate it to a 5.5 US, it won't work. I can't remember what brand it is that does this, but I've been burnt by it multiple times before. It must not be a European brand anyway because the US size is accurate while the European one is not.)

Hi there, I've been using Cialis with prescription from my doctor and no issues for 4 years now (mostly for gym performance), but due to changed laws in my country getting prescription renewed become much much more difficult. Considering it is benign and my doctor said I can continue current course for the foreseeable future without checking in, I was wondering if there are any reliable sources to get it online in EU as 20mg tablets (not powder) without prescription?

Many recommend Deuschem, but for whatever reason they don't ship to my country. Any proven alternatives?

I have a number of dogs and I want to protect my car. I already have a cover (EU bought) for the boot - although if anyone wants to recommend a good one for the boot, please do! I'm looking for a way to protect my backseat as well. I've found hard-bottom backseat covers but they're all from the US. Aside from tariffs and taxes, I would much prefer to support a European business that does something like this. Anyone have any recommendations?

Bonus points if a section of the cover folds anyway so people can also sit in the backseat, but this is not a requirement.
