Funny Apparently 3 hours without a text back is ghosting?
Met up with a guy for a quick walk with our dogs, it was maybe an hour total, just a quick get-to-know-you vibe. He texted me the next morning and asked if my dog liked him, but I was already at work running a training and figured Iād text him later in the day.
Thenā¦thisš«©
Funny Just changed my age settings.
Clarification*
- she is 30, and I see no problem with that.
- yes, she was super hot
- changed my age settings mean I just changed them so I wonāt have this experience again.
- I do not want to be a daddy (I already have a kid)
- It must be hard to see, but she messaged me first.
Update*
Neither of us unmatched. We continued being annoyed with one another but explained our positions. She is now telling me about the interesting things she is into.
Update 2*
Things turned mostly friendly. We have a coffee date tomorrow. Iām supposed to bring a copy of my state bar card because she allegedly does not believe an attorney could be so dumb. This woman is unfathomably good looking. You would understand.
Update 3*
Coffee date went surprisingly well. 45 minutes. Constant playful banter. It was just a funny misunderstanding. She thought I was demanding a song and dance, I thought her response was ridiculous. We were both jerks and I was condescending. Itās already an inside joke that weāre having fun with.
Update 4*
Texting daily and FaceTiming most nights. She now texts mostly complete sentences (requested). She is not a jerk, at all. Have a real date tomorrow night.

Funny Can a man explain this behavior?
I (32f) started off the conversation trying to be a bit cheeky with his (43m) dog and I guess the first response (which I interpreted as a joke/domineering thing because my dog comment was not offensive) was actually serious. It only got worse, I tried giving the benefit of the doubt until it was crystal clear that it wasnāt flirty/joking behavior but genuine disgust.
He unmatched because obviously we were definitely not looking for the same thing. This attitude is wild. His profile pics seemed kinda like an alpha male but one of the answers to the prompts was ātogether we can rule the worldā - which Iāve only seen hundreds of times.
I have to see this as absurdly wild in a funny way because thatās so toxic otherwise. Iāve been off bumble a while (sabbatical from dating because of bs like this). Anyone else seen trends like this?

Funny I just stopped replying, I cannot be bothered
I set a date and time per her open dates. I didnāt have time at the moment then to figure out details but I figured we could lock in something on the calendar and I would get back to her about details when I had more time. But that didnāt work for her. Fine. So I chose something quick just to make it happen. Then she hits me with the last text. That I need to come up with plans for after (lady, we havenāt met, dinner might be all the time we want to spend with each other), and that based on the āvibesā she would prefer the day before. Iām out, no way this is gonna work, I canāt with someone this high maintenance.
Edit: Alright everyone, I just posted this to show ONE particularly silly and stupid app interaction. It was not an indictment of dating culture in general, or of women, or anything really. Just a moment that I thought was ridiculous. Really a bummer that people see this and run with it to confirm their own biases regarding the opposite sex. Some women are annoying just like some men are trash. HUMANS, all genders/sexes, have annoying and stupid individuals. It does not mean that everyone from said group that an annoying person happens to be a part of is also that way. And if thatās how you think, you are intellectually very lazy. Donāt generalize, humans are not a monolith. Rant over.

Funny Just came across this woman's (28F) profile
This one is kinda crazy. The brown or blonde hair only really stood out to me. Like black hair is where you draw the line? Also, is that code for saying I only date a certain race?
I get having preferences, but that specific one feels so random. Especially when itās listed alongside stuff like personality and hygiene.
And āsomeone obsessed with meā is definitely a choice. The whole thing feels less like a dating preference and more like a list of requirements. Curious as to what everyone else thinks.

Funny Coffee Dates SUCK
Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but I thought the whole point of a coffee date (usually first date) was intended for low pressure and emotional energy? Itās perfect because if things work out you can plan something more extravagant on date 2 but if the vibes arenāt there you can exit quickly. It makes me wonder what else she refuses to apologize for lol

Funny I think Jason didnāt like how I saw right through him š¤
His profile said he was looking for Long term Relationship.
After I asked, he added āOpen to see where things goā but left LTR. Isnāt it satisfying to when they unmatch so quickly? š
EDIT FOR MORE CONTEXT :
I am very forward on my profile that I am looking for casual dating/fwb. He superswiped me and I thought he was cute, so I matched even though his profile said he was looking for LTR because I assumed it was flexible, which is why I asked.
When he said that he hadnāt updated his profile and that he was not looking for LTR, he did modify his profile to add the āOpen to see where things goā but he did NOT remove the LTR mention. That is when I called him out.
I have no problem with people who are open to both LTR and casual, but he did say he was not looking for LTR, just casual.
Itās just all funny to me, and I wanted to laugh at the situation with women whoāve encountered the same behaviour š
