Is it worth visiting the Rise and Rum festival as a tourist? Would a tourist stand out too much?

Hi, I’m a 28 year old Senegalese guy that lives and works in Canada.
I’m making heading down to Barbados, first just to visit for a few months in December, after which I’ll make a decision on if I’m staying or not.
I speak French and English, and was wondering how similar our cultures are. I know there’s a "digital nomad" community, but I’m much more interested in the people that are actually from Barbados.
Sorry if it’s a vague question, but I’m looking forward to finding out for myself!
