Hey y’all!
If you’re new here or looking for info, this is the place to stop and check before you post that question you’re thinking about asking - the answer may already be in our FAQ! There's also some recommendations in there for learning about lore.
I’d recommend also checking the New Player Question or Question flairs to see if your question has been asked before. You can also type into whatever search engine you use:
[insert your question here] baldursgate3 reddit
Or
[insert your question here] bg3 reddit
That’ll help us prevent the subreddit from being cluttered with the same repeated questions.
If your question hasn't been asked (or asked recently enough) then use either one of the question flairs above and ask away.
BG3Builds and Multiclassing
For the people curious about builds or who want a more dedicated place to discuss them, there's r/BG3Builds. There's a good guide on multiclassing.
Community Wiki
Confused about what the different rolls mean or just want to find notable NPCs and loot in a location? Check out the Community Wiki. It's ad free and being worked on by people here in the community :)
Everyone working on this is doing a great job trying to prepare it for launch and beyond.
If you'd like to help contribute to the wiki, here is the Discord.

Character Planner Reminder: There is a Character Planner by GameFractal being worked on here (It's also in the sidebar on desktop or the 'See Community info' link on mobile).
It's a one person project, so updating it with the recent updates, adding what launch will bring, and some other useful features will take time - but it will be updated.
There is a feedback button on that site, please use it if you have any suggestions/constructive feedback. Feedback is very appreciated!

Artwork BG3 Fairytales: Astarion as Snow White (3D Render)
I made this a couple of months ago, I was inspired by Badwitch69's Snow White outfit to create Astarion in a 3D render as Snow White.
Unfortunately due to a lack of space on my PC I don't have the original blender file, to give you a behind the scenes look but this was made in blender with no assistance from AI whatsoever but I can give you the inspiration pic I found over on pintrest
Enjoy!

Act 2 - Spoilers Pissed off about the Last Light Inn Spoiler
Last night, I was continuing my (very dragged out) honour mode run, when it came to the part of the game where you’re ambushed by Ketherics forces at the Last Light Inn.
The fight went pretty well. Managed to save Isobel, no issue. No one had died. ‘I got this!’ I thought.
The last enemy remained, low on health, an npc ready to finish him off. Whether the enemy felt cornered or had no choice, I have no idea. It turns and swings at His Majesty. Killing him in one fell swoop!
I’ve never felt so guilty over an NPC death like that… If it wasn’t an honour mode run, I definitely would have reloaded the save file.

Act 1 - Spoilers Failed intelligence check in real life + other misadventures Spoiler
NO TIPS, please. Just need to check whether I’m okay to proceed to Act 2.
Left undone in Act 1:
Puzzle beneath goblin camp as I’m a dummy.
Ethel. I get destroyed.
Owlbear. I get destroyed.
Spiders at bottom of well in Blighted Village. You guessed it: they tear me up no problems.
So, at level 5, on normal difficulty, am I good to proceed to the mountain pass, or will I suffer later for leaving all this XP behind?

Character Build What's the most fun way (or ways) to play Druid? Spoiler
I really want to love Druid, but just haven't clicked with the Class.
I'm tempted to do something like Druid/Monk or Druid/Barbarian to go more on the feral punchy build (especially fun using some wild shape to get places that don't want to get punched) but I'm sure there are a ton of fun builds out there.
I've been thinking about this ever since the "least interesting" classes thread blew up. Narratively I love the Druid, and it's one of the Classes that interacts the most with a big chunk of the game's story - but I would love ideas for how to enjoy the class more!

General Discussion - [SPOILERS] Why don't our characters say anything about EB Domination? Spoiler
You would think given the contents of this book that this would be a huge revelation. It basically tells us what the Absolute actually is and the use of the Crown of Karsus before we actually see them. But none of them say anything. You would think Karlach would have something to say about it considering the book mentions this was Gortash's idea but nope. Just very disappointing in my opinion.

New Player Question Camp supplies a finite resource? Spoiler
Because I worry as my main hobby, I got to worrying I camp too often in order to heal, perhaps resulting in a situation where I’m left scrounging for sausages in crates, as one does.
Are camp supplies inexhaustible?

Companions Shadowheart’s look after first kiss Spoiler
I’m doing a new run in Honor Mode, Halfling Sorlock and… yes, I’m romancing Shadowheart once more.
Got rid of the goblins, done the party at my camp and had a bottle of wine with the best cleric out there who’s… well, actually a Paladin in this playthorugh 😂
Anyways, after the rest, you know that Shart starts asking if everything is fine for you but…
Well, the camera turns out not being very well in favor of what she’s saying.
“I hope we’ll have many moments like this in the future”
But her eyes, due to the low angle seem to tell something very different: regret 🤣. LMAO

Character Build What class/build would this character be? Spoiler
(Image name : Dragon Hunter, by Veselin Ivanov.)
I was thinking it's probably a battlemaster but then again I'm not very familiar with dnd lore so in my head a battlemaster is just a master at war or duelling with swords and not with dragons and big creatures but idk it's just the feeling I'm getting, there is also he ranger hunter but again seeing it has the volley attack as it's special thing I think it's more suited for multiple enemies rather than one big prey. I genuinly don't know would you please help me find this out and tell me a bit about how strong a martial class in dnd can get? I know spellcasters get insanely strong with time stp and such but I heard martials aren't as strong so I don't know. Thank you.

Artwork Tried to draw my tav, Rain Spoiler
galleryShe's a dark magic sorcerer high elf, or was, because she's a half-illithid now, oops. Got too greedy with the powers the tadpole offered.
I don't usually make characters that remotely look like me, but I was so happy to see a long ish buzzcut that's not a texture put on a bald model like an sticker, so I had to comply! I also dont get too attached with my rpg character enough to draw them, but with Rain? Let's say I haven't finished the game yet, and I'm already missing 😭
Sorry for the shitty screenshots by the way :D

BUGS Bug with black dots on NPC bodies Spoiler
I've had a strange bug in BG3 for quite a while now. Black dots appear on the bodies of many NPCs, almost like the character's mesh (wireframe) is showing on their body. Yet, for example, Gale doesn't have it. It mostly just appears on NPCs. I play with mods, but I don't have any mods installed that alter NPC bodies. Has anyone else encountered this bug?

Companions Does skipping companion recruitment change quests? Spoiler
So I've beaten BG3 once. I've never been a DnD or this kind of RPGs guy but I've enjoyed this one so much and I'm thinking of a second run with another class.
Now, my question is if I can skip recruiting Will and still the duke and the dragon quests in act 3, which are tied to his story if I'm not mistaken, will be still available. Basically it was the companion I used the least, I don't really like warlock class, don't understand how to use it, and although the character is nice and all don't really care much about him or at least not as much as Shadow, Laezel, Karlach, Astarion and Gale, however if missing his recruitment means I can't get that legendary greatsword might be better to get him and leave him at camp.
Thanks
