Looking for some freelance sales work

Hey everyone,

I’m looking for some freelance work for the next few weeks and thought I’d put this out here.

I’ve worked in sales across edtech, wellness and sports, mainly handling lead generation, cold calls, follow-ups and conversations with potential clients. I can help with finding leads, reaching out to prospects, setting up meetings or just giving a business some extra support with sales.

I’m available for 4–6 hours a day and would prefer paid projects, either on a fixed fee or a fixed fee plus incentives.

If you know any startups or small businesses that need help with sales, or have suggestions on where I can find such projects, let me know. Happy to connect!

Thanks!

Tools to build a real time buying signal for B2B

• Upvotes

Trying to build a real time buying signal pipeline in-house usually starts out simple and turns into an engineering headache very quickly.

Most teams try gluing together webhooks in Make or n8n, scraping LinkedIn job updates, and pulling RSS feeds from tech blogs and then within a month, the scrapers break due to site layout changes, API rate limits eat your budget, and sales reps get flooded with false-positive alerts that burn their time.

The issue is that a single isolated event like someone updating their LinkedIn title is rarely an actual buying signal on its own so reliable real time signals only happen when multiple independent indicators compound together.

This is why engineering led teams use platforms like Scale Intelligence instead of building scraping pipelines from scratch where itt operates as dedicated market intelligence infrastructure that continuously tracks 75+ public channels including public company registers, regulatory filings, GitHub commits, Reddit pain discussions, and hiring velocity. It connects those events into an account graph, checks whether the account matches your technical prerequisites, and attaches the dated evidence snippet directly to the alert before pushing it into Slack, your CRM, or autonomous agents via MCP.

Using a dedicated signal engine keeps your sales team focused on accounts with verified operational timing instead of spending engineering hours fixing broken webhooks.

I work in business development at a video production house. How do you actually get clients?

Hey everyone,

I work in business development at a video production house, and I'm struggling to figure out how to consistently bring in new clients.

I've been trying the usual methods:

  • Reaching out to people on LinkedIn
  • Sending cold emails
  • Making cold calls
  • Using Apollo to find leads and contact information
  • Trying to connect with potential clients online

But honestly, nothing seems to be working. People don't respond to my emails or LinkedIn messages, and most of the time, they don't pick up calls either. Even after using Apollo to find potential prospects, I'm struggling to convert those leads into actual conversations or meetings.

I want to understand how people in video production, creative agencies, or other B2B service businesses actually get clients.

A few things I'd love advice on:

  • Which tools or platforms do you use to find potential clients?
  • How do you identify companies that genuinely need video production services?
  • What kind of cold emails or LinkedIn messages actually get responses?
  • How do you use Apollo effectively for lead generation?
  • Are there better ways to get clients besides cold calling and cold emailing?
  • How do you get meetings with marketing heads, founders, brand managers, or marketing agencies?
  • Do referrals, partnerships, networking, or other strategies work better than outbound sales?

I'd really appreciate practical tips, tools, strategies, or real experiences that have worked for you.

If you're in video production, marketing, or a similar B2B service business, I'd love to hear how you find and convert clients.

Thanks in advance!

Salesforce Agency looking for leads

I run a boutique Salesforce consulting business in the US, focused primarily around Salesforce Marketing Cloud Account Engagement (previously Pardot). We are a small team of 4 consultants (3 delivery while I mostly do biz dev and account management).

Currently running cold email outreach via Apollo, and referrals from previous clients.

Looking for tips on finding consulting leads esp in the SMB market anywhere in the US.

Any insights will be helpful on helping us scale.

How do you get "good leads" for your business as a founder?

• Upvotes

Honestly there are bunch of places where you can get "good leads" but do they fit what you want and would they convert? That's another story.
So to get something better you have to manually research the best prospects to avoid unnecessary spamming.
Well I was having this lead sourcing issues for my business also so I decided to build something to fix that.
The idea is simple, you put in your website your website, the system understands what your business is about and who exactly are your target customers by what they do, questions and reviews they've left online.
It also automatically creates an email campaign sequence, not some generic multi-paragraph copy but a personalized short, researched and warm email. All you have to do is approve it.
What do you guys think of this?

Searching for Cold Calling Software for Agencies - help

Hi,

I am searching for a cold calling software. Maybe someone could help with suggestions.
There are many tools on the market, however I couldn’t find a suitable solution.
We run outbound cold calling for clients, setting qualified appointments.

Currently we use a tool that should have been the perfect match, however I think it’s not build properly, has many things not a tool should have in general, isn’t GDPR compliant (e.g. we can’t set DNC lists or contacts, which is needed for Europe, even they are a EU company)
Their list uploading is not good and some other things that should be standard for this kind of tools are not good or missing. Another example is the bad reporting and that they basically don’t have a good overview of set meetings.
I give them so much feedback, currently feeling more like their business development support then a client that can effectively use the tool.

Main use focus we would need:

- Autodailer
- Handle Different Clients/Projects/Lists
- Has a CRM build (just need notes, buttons for meetings, DNC button, not interested and something that I can mark why the lead is not usable)
- must be able to set follow ups and get notifications if the follow is due
- should be able to call the number of the caller even when their number is not in the system, as a callback could happen from a different number
- must be able to import different kind of numbers like direct phone and company phone and be able to sort it for the Autodailer correct
- need to be able to set max. Touchpoints before the leads gets sorted out.
- optional email and sms sending from the system (isn’t a criteria I would to not consider using it)
- need to be able to get phone numbers for UK or US (without having a company there, wich is kind of normal, but the current tool doesn’t even provide that)
- would be nice to have a call flatrate for the country included you have a phone number to make outbound calls.

Maybe someone has similar experience and found a tool that really works. Currently looking into other tools, but thought here are coming up some tools and ideas I haven’t looked into yet.
