2 small (noisy miner size) all grey birds were up in a tree making these calls. They also made sounds with their wings when they flew about.

First I would like to apologise for the poor quality video.
Would anyone be able to identify this large bird with the white in the tail feathers. It arrived with a lot of bother and annoyance from the local mynas and carrawongs and was quickly chased off.
This sighting was in North Ryde Sydney.

Anyone able to make out an ID on this photo? Fairly confident a flame robin pair was seen in this area recently and canβt tell what this could be other than the female.

Can anyone help me identify this bird from its call? The longer descending call most prominent in the audio on this video. They certainly are insistent at the moment π Port Stephens (Hunter / Mid Coast) area NSW.

Like the title says, I'll be in/around Melbourne for a week at the end of November, with a solid 3-4 days of birding time staked out. I've got some ideas of where I'll be going, but I just wanted to check if there was, in fact, a chance at seeing one of these lovely rarities within a few hours drive of the city.
