Hello I’m new here. I have 4 kids, 2 are special needs…
We’re really struggling after my husband was hit in a hit and run. Luckily he wasn’t hurt too bad, but our car was totaled, and he last his job as a result. He’s been a chef for over 15 years, and he was at that restaurant for almost 2 years (since it opened), so he was so hurt and disappointed by this betrayal.
We live in a very small town, so everything is a commute. It’s been very difficult to find steady work with no vehicle. My husband has started doing as much work as he can in any area (mainly construction and his art), but it’s been hard to get by with 4 kids, especially since we fell behind. We just barely payed our electric bill the day before our power was to be shut off, but that hasn’t left much money for food.
We have applied for food stamps, but they didn’t call me for my interview at my appointment time, so now I’m stuck waiting for the new appointment. In the mean time, our bank account is sadly negative and we have maybe $10 left in my cashapp to last us until then…
I made an Amazon list of some grocery items. Since we’re in a small town, the grocery options are more limited, but I tried to go for affordable things that would last while trying to get some nutritional value, especially for my medically complex child.

I am multiply disabled and have a rare genetic disease but a recent revelation and shift by my doctor's is offering hope for the first time in a long time. My internal medicine doctor recently disclosed that based on looking at huge amounts of medical records, for at least the past decade any care has at best been slapping a bandaid on a hemorrhaging issue and waiting for me to die.

Yes, my disease is life limiting but come on! Shifting the focus to treating and planning for decades more life as there is nothing lost if wrong is off to a positive start. One aspect became critical this weekend - having a gj feeding tube placed - after the PICC line I had needed to be pulled leaving me with no means of hydration (I have adipsia, the part of the brain that controls thirst was damaged in infancy and I have never felt thirsty plus I am nauseated 95%+ of the time). A surgery I thought I had a few weeks to prep for is now in 13 hours.

Oh and this procedure is why I was able to apply for a part time job and to have scheduled an interview!!

Hi everyone! I'm reaching out again in hopes of getting a little assistance with my 9-year-old daughter's upcoming dance showcase on November 3rd. The theme is Descendants, and she still needs a costume, jazz shoes, and stage makeup. I've put together an Amazon wishlist with a few costume options, but she only needs ONE of the costumes listed, not all of them.

A few months ago, I reached out for help getting my three daughters their regular dancewear. I was so grateful for the kindness shown! Unfortunately, while I initially thought most of the wishlist had been purchased, it turned out that someone had added several items to their cart without completing the purchase, making them appear unavailable. We only received the tank tops. Thankfully, through working and budgeting, I was eventually able to purchase the remaining items myself, and all three girls were able to participate in dance.

Now that their fall showcase is approaching, I've managed to secure costumes for my 4- and 6-year-old daughters, but with groceries, bills, and everyday household expenses, the remaining items for my oldest are simply outside our budget right now.

Their scholarship dance program has been such a blessing to our family. I've watched all three of my girls grow in confidence, coordination, discipline, and self-expression. They genuinely love dancing, and seeing how much they've blossomed physically and emotionally has made this experience so special.

I would love for my oldest to walk onto that stage feeling just as excited and prepared as her sisters. She's worked hard, and I want her to enjoy every moment of her performance!

I am a 34 year old man in Canada who is in need of financial assistance.

In my hometown, I went through some traumatic stuff at age 19. I stayed in that province for 15 years trying to establish myself and make sense of what happened to me, until my friends across the country reached out and insisted I needed to get out of there and that I could come stay with them in this new part of the country. So in July, after some planning, I packed my car, took what I had saved, and hit the road. I made it to my friend's, and felt like I had just escaped a burning building. I really felt liberated and so excited to have actually made the move, and to be here with my long time friend again. But then, the area received historical flooding, the basement where I was staying had to be torn up, and I became abruptly stranded.

I was able to find a room. It is $850 a month. I was expecting to have the room with my friend for a month or two at least to save up money for my own place. Unfortunately, being forced out soon caused me to dip into any backup funds I had left from the journey. I had a job here that ended in August, with the locating of a new place and readjusting to that unexpected dynamic hindering my ability to find another job yet.

I am just now facing a rent payment on the 1st of November of $850. After that, my costs include the fees for a new I.D, vehicle inspection/registration, and finding new auto insurance.

I hope this isn't too long, and I hope I have left my pride out of it completely. If you even read this far, I appreciate you.

Hi everyone. I’m currently in a really difficult financial situation and I’m hoping I can get some help with groceries.

I’m a college student and I’ve been having a really hard time finding a job. Right now, the only thing helping me get by is the small amount of money my parents are able to give me, but it isn’t enough to cover my basic food needs. My name is Nicholas, I am 28 years old, and I am a single father to a beautiful 8 year old girl, Chloe. We live in New York, and I went through hell and back with family court to get custody of her. She was forcibly removed from her mother’s home by CPS, and by the grace of god, I was able to save my daughter from her abusive environment.

I made the mistake this week of not budgeting well this week. I am used to living paycheck to paycheck as the sole provider to my daughter and I, but this week I had to pay the remaining balance of her birthday party on November 8th (209$) as well as her Halloween costume (45$). No, her mother does not pay child support and she has abandoned her visitation and parental rights as well.

I was hoping to ask for 50$, just to fill my gas tank. I had to call in to work today (thankfully I have PTO) because I only have 30 miles in my car and 2$ in my account. Any money would go straight into my gas tank so I can get back to work Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, until payday on Friday.

Cash App would be the easiest as I have a physical debit card with them, but Venmo or Apple Pay would also be helpful if an alternative is needed.

Hello, it’s my first time posting here and I’m a little bit nervous and hopefully I followed the rules properly.

I am currently in Saskatchewan and have been on Saskatchewan Income Support for a few months due to mental health issues. I receive a food bank hamper every 2 weeks normally, but was unable to make my last food bank hamper last until the 29th of October when I receive my assistance income, due to the contents of the hamper (it varies).

If anybody is able to help me with groceries and a bus pass, (I receive a discount for a bus pass, it is $25CAD) and about $30 for groceries to last until Thursday I would appreciate it so much. The bus pass will allow me to get to and from a couple of appointments I have this week, as well as get to and from the grocery store, as I do not have a license.

I have to admit I feel a bit ashamed asking for help but I don’t speak with my family any longer and figured I would give it a shot here.
