So I bought some 'Sakthi: Tandoori Chicken Masala' spice mix from an Indian market, and I started to marinate my chicken using the instructions, and oh my gawd… my kitchen smells like sulfur, and so does the bag I tossed my chicken + masala in. It started once I mixed the masala with the yogurt.
This is my first time using Indian ingredients. Is this a normal smell?

I made hot chocolate with the usual stuff:

milk

dutch cocoa powder (cocoa and sugar were dissolved in hot water beforehand)

sugar

salt

vanilla extract

and while drinking it in my cup, it forms a film on top that I dislike. So I was wondering what I could do to avoid that from happening. Thank you!
