Is there anything I can do to improve this painting?

Any feedback is welcome but would like feedback on the overall lighting and shading because I feel like in some parts it stands out but other parts it looks flat (especially the white overalls).

✨ Reference was used to help construct face and lighting.

Coloring advice! (Only)

Hiya, new to this community, so Hiiiiiiii! (Btw, it wouldn't let me change the tag)

I'm trying to improve my coloring, as I'm not very good at it, I traced the drawing, so I don't really need critic on it<3

First pic is the drawing, second is the reference^^

My style is cartoony, so that's what I'm going for (ish)

Questions!!!:

I have heard dapples are hard to draw? Is that true? Does anyone know how to do it to make it look semi realistic? How do I make my drawing not look flat?

Thanks for reading!<3 have a nice day/evening/night, and I hope both sides of your pillow are cold

Portrait Practice

This is a portrait of Mr. Darcy from Pride and Prejudice which I used for practice. (Reference is second image.) Any tips and advice or especially critiques to use for next time would be greatly appreciated.

I would say the hair is obviously too flat and I have too many hard lines, especially around the eyes. I could probably improve this with more time but have spent enough hours on it already that I want to move on.

I also know having a solid light background doesn't work well with the shading on the face, but backgrounds are something I have even less practice with and will work on as will.

Thanks!

Crit after Art Class

Post image

I've been taking a life drawing class that goes a bit more experimental, and even though we've been taught some fundamentals, I don't think my drawing is getting stronger.

It's a great class btw but I'd love your feedback on our last exercise - we had a life model as a reference who was walking around a table with different setups, and we were tasked to draw him (tbh it was up to us to place the person on the page and to choose what to draw but I wasn't as judicious).

My main problem at this point is that I feel like I'm still outlining, when I should be drawing the figure reasonably well. I feel like my figures are overly stiff, and on top of not being so thoughtful on placement, I also ended up botching my line weights.

Keen to get your feedback!

critique on this character design for a Pokemon OC (more info in body)

Is there any way to improve this design, or is it already good/okay enough?

Thelia is a Pokemon trainer that works a lot with theivuls. She lives in a camp in the wild area outside of Chirchester in the Galar region (even though you can not encounter theivuls there, not important to the story), so she is dressed heavily to protect herself from the cold. The heavy clothing is kind of a must. Her outfit is also designed to look like a shiny theivul, to fit in with her theivuls a bit more (she has a small army). She is an NPC and a trainer you can encounter along the way down to Spikemunth.

I more so want to know if the design looks balanced or if there is something I should remove/add/change to make it look more reasonable/appealing! Any critique welcomed! I have some work to rn, so I just wanted to post this before I start and I will come back later.

I used an image of shiny thievul as a reference for this design, using both colors and the patterns of it as information. I drew this completely digitally on Krita.

NO REFERENCE WAS USED!
Hi! This is an original work of a beach day meant to show a memory rather than 1:1 realism. Please let me know if it serves its purpose without it looking too messy! Thanks!

This painting has me stuck in a rut

I had started this painting just under 2 years ago and I am struggling to start working on it again. I am struggling with the fact that 1. Everything in the reference photo has a yellow undertone and I don't know how to portray it outside of a wash at the end and 2. I struggle to mix accurate colors. I'm seeking advice mainly for mixing colors easier (that's the biggest thing stopping me right now) but also ways you have gotten yourself out of the rut. I think I am putting pressure on myself to make it perfect because it's such a memorable piece, but I do want to work on it. Thank you all in advance!
