Coloring advice! (Only)
Hiya, new to this community, so Hiiiiiiii! (Btw, it wouldn't let me change the tag)
I'm trying to improve my coloring, as I'm not very good at it, I traced the drawing, so I don't really need critic on it<3
First pic is the drawing, second is the reference^^
My style is cartoony, so that's what I'm going for (ish)
Questions!!!:
I have heard dapples are hard to draw? Is that true? Does anyone know how to do it to make it look semi realistic? How do I make my drawing not look flat?
Thanks for reading!<3 have a nice day/evening/night, and I hope both sides of your pillow are cold

The bottom of the feet are not brown in the photo.
To do dapples add dark color blotches overlapping then lighten the center

I tried that with the dapples, but I prob did it wrong as this was my first time drawing dapples.
And I just realized that the hooves were darker in the ref. I didn't have the ref while I was drawing so I kinda had to wing it, but I'll defo look more at that next time!
