Trunk or Treat
Does anyone know about any trunk or treat events happening today. I know it’s the beginning of the week but I have to work all weekend and would love to take my kiddo out.

Can you all maybe start shaming
People who don't drive with their lights on at night, you know, honk, shine your lights at them call them names.
Whatever you have to do, because i'm sick of almost dying on the way home every night
Someone ran a red light with no lights on last night and missed me by an inch

Moved here recently from Central Fl and don't really know anybody local. I'm a Navy vet and am using GI bill to pursue a degree here, and just purchased a car I've wanted for quite some time (Dodge Challenger with a 392 hemi), and I guess I'm at the point where I really want to learn everything about it, and engine/mechanical work in general. I'm not in a position to tear mine down at the moment but I'm really itching to work on it in the future. Have always loved building things and this feels like the next big thing for me.
Looking mainly for:
I know this is pretty broad but I figured I'd start here. Getting older has also made reaching out and making connections harder than it used to be haha, but gotta start somewhere. Anyway, thanks for reading!

I wanted to ask some advice/opinions on taking the train out here. My daughter's birthday is coming up and she LOVES the train so I've been thinking of maybe booking a roundtrip for her. What depot would be the best one to get the most of a trip? We've been to Sante Fe a couple times so that's always an option, but if there's stuff a little further out or in a different direction that would make the view more enjoyable.
I'm not from here originally so I've never rode on the train myself. If there's a place that might have some things within easy walking distance that would be nice info to have as well!!
I appreciate the info from the Burque natives. 🙏🏻

Bernalillo County Commission meets Tuesday at 5:00 PM. BSCO is contracted with Axon. And that contract allows for future tech to be easily implemented.
NOW, Axon wants to roll out the Body 5 camera, with 25x the AI capabilities than its predecessor. That cannot happen here.
A federal judge, Sara E. Hill, just ruled that these cameras are "indiscriminate mass surveillance."
Now it’s time the County Commission to stand for the Constitution and end mass surveillance.
No Axon! NO ALPRs! No AI powered mass surveillance!
📍Where: Ken Sanchez Chambers, Alvarado Square
⏰When: Tuesday, Oct. 27th @ 5:00 PM
🗣 Action: Show up. Pack the council chambers for public comment. Tell council: No Axon, No other ALPR vendor, and especially no mass surveillance.

This appears to be ransomeware by an organized group. They claim to have access to far more than just the hospital.
From ransomeware.live:
36,000 Machines Compromised, both AD forests (Main Campus + Hospital Sector(with appointments, patient information + research)) With GPOs, Two Oracle databases, every student + employee PII (including SSNs), research information, entire Entra Tenant, Oracle HR + Payroll + Banner Student Records, Internal Emails, Cerner EHR rosters. This is your entire network and infrastructure compromised, the entire university COMPLETELY. Anyways, you know where to find us (contact tab). We will take you down when communication has been established between our team and yours.

Just want to know how this is labeled as Spam, as this was just an ad about selling these lights? I did ask prior to this if selling items were on or not and was advised (and seen) people posting items for sale..? Just wondering if selling items (NOT PROMOTING A SERVICE) is considered a violation?? Or please tell me how this is AI Generated lol)

Tonight was a good night to hold Bernalillo County's feet to the fire. Had to speak out against what BCSO is subjecting Burqueños and all to. Axon's Body 5 is just the next step on the way to full AI powered mass surveillance.
Bernalillo County, time to let the Commission know we will not stand for new technology implemented without public votes or consent.
Join us for the next public comment!

Getting reports from patients that they are getting texts from “UNMH” asking for personal information like birthdays or etc.
If you are a patient there, information like that should obviously be already catalogued.

Just need a bit of hope on this one, I’ve done everything, put up hundreds of flyers, reported to 311, notified vets and shelters, spoke to neighbors, walked through my neighborhood with my dogs, etc. No sign at all. Their bodies haven’t been found or anything, so they're still out there somewhere. Can you guys share your personal success stories about your experience with a lost pet?

As far as I'm aware, the abandoned Sunset Drive-In Theater in Southwest Albuquerque is the last of its kind in town, as all the other drive-in theaters in Albuquerque have been completely demolished. The theater was opened in 1951 along Arenal Road SW and continued to operate until its closure in 2000. Since the drive-in's closure, the trees have been removed, as well as the concessions building and parking lot having been demolished. As of making this post, only the sign and screen remain.
