🌱 Weekly Agribusiness Value Chain Highlights: EthiopiaFrom logistics corridor updates to targeted feed and irrigation investments, here are this week’s major domestic developments across Agribusiness and Value Chain Management (ABVM):

🚢 1. Modjo Logistics Hub Scaling for Agro-ExportsThe Modjo Logistics Hub continues its operational expansion as Ethiopias primary trade gateway. By streamlining containerized cargo handling and customs clearance, the hub is significantly reducing port transit times and logistics overhead for high-value agricultural exports (coffee, oilseeds, and horticulture) and bulk input imports.

🥛 2. Livestock Value Chain amp; Forage Development DriveScaling high-quality forage production is taking center stage to address persistent fodder shortages and soaring animal health costs. Targeted smallholder initiatives across central and southern Ethiopia are integrating improved forage varieties and climate-resilient livestock feed, boosting farm-gate milk yields and stabilizing local dairy supply chains.

💧3. Soil, Water amp; Irrigation Corridor InvestmentsRegional agricultural bureaus and development partners are expanding terrace, check-dam, and small-scale irrigation infrastructure across Oromia, Southern Ethiopia, and arid corridors. Modernizing water retention infrastructure is enabling multi-season cluster farming for wheat, fruits, and oilseeds, directly lowering production risks caused by erratic rainfall.

🏦 4. Macro Reform amp; Forex Market AdjustmentsFollowing ongoing central bank foreign exchange auctions and market-based rate alignment, agribusiness exporters and agricultural input importers are navigating new pricing dynamics. Formal market channels and trade documentation guidelines issued for regulated crop trading aim to enhance transparency across national commodity exchanges and regional off-take agreements.📌 Which update connects most closely with your agribusiness interests this week?
