SGV New CMP
Former SGV here. I’m wondering why Rosanna Fajardo got replaced by a new CMP. Her stint was too short and I’m curious why SGV suddenly decided to change her.

Actually, this was just a fantasy of mine when I was still working in a local company. I told myself na if may makita akong better opportunity after a year, especially sa international company, I would go for it.
Not just for the salary, but for the work-life balance, hybrid setup, and the opportunity to earn better without sacrificing too much of my personal life.
I used to think na baka suntok sa buwan lang, but I prayed for it, worked for it, and God gave it, FINALLY 🥹
So to those who feel stuck or think na wala nang better opportunity for them, please don’t count yourself out before you even try. Apply kahit feeling mo out of your league, and ilaban mo sa interview kahit kinakabahan ka. You never know unless you try.
But please, take calculated risks. Huwag muna mag-resign nang walang backup! HAHAHAHAHSHSH
And to the fresh grads na wala pang experience, don’t think na huli na kayo or wala kayong laban. Everyone starts somewhere. You don’t need to have everything figured out; you just need to be willing to start.
Your current situation doesn’t have to be your permanent situation. Keep learning, keep trying, and keep praying.
Job dust to everyone 🫂

Kinakabahan ako since it's my first time having a Partner Interview for an Accounting Associate role at a smaller firm. I am not a CPA and also just a fresh graduate but they are open for early career opportunities.
Since it's a small firm, I know the partner will likely be looking for adaptability and client readiness.
For those who have interviewed with partners at smaller accounting firms, what specific questions should I expect?

These are not the latest edition but I am decluttering now and looking for possible owners. Flair lang is selling/looking for buyer but I will be giving this out for free, sagot nyo lang shipping fee.
If these are not useful, how do you dispose your old books? Haha.

Help! Currently employed at a Big 4 firm, Senior Associate na but acting manager na. Was not yet promoted to AD. Ngayon, i have an offer from another big 4 as AD. After the October 1 increase maliit lang yung difference from current pay sa offer ni other big 4.
I am torn kung iggrab ko na itong new offer or stay pa muna.

Does it ever get better? Too late na ba to shift? Too late na mag change career?

Nag apply po ako sa Pwc as Audit Support and was called today regarding the process. I was informed na HR interview, Exam/Assessment, and Final interview will take place tomorrow.
Pahingi naman po ng tips what to expect? I badly want the job, kaya lang wala akong masyadong makita related to Audit Support under PwC.

Hi!! Right now, I'm rushing to find someone for my performance task because I haven't found anyone in real life to help me over the past week. I need to submit a consent form tomorrow, so I'm scrambling and asking around to see if anyone is willing to participate. There's a somewhat long (not really, tbh) consent form with more details if you're willing, but the screenshot below gives you an idea of what it is about. You just need to be legal, working, and in the accounting field, but I'm especially looking for a CPA; it's fine if you aren't, as long as you are legal and working. Just DM me if you're willing huhu :'))

If you’ve ever doubted your degree and wondered kung may patutunguhan ba talaga ang Management Accounting, I just want to tell you na meron. I’m a BSMA graduate myself, and I’m sharing this because I used to hear people say na mas preferred pa rin ang Accountancy graduates, or na limited ang opportunities for Management Accounting grads.
But here’s what I’ve learned: your degree is part of your story, but it doesn’t have to define the limits of your career.
I’m not saying na walang challenges or na madali lang makahanap ng work. What I’m saying is, don’t disqualify yourself from opportunities just because you’re not an Accountancy graduate. Build your skills, learn how to communicate professionally, and learn how to present your strengths during interviews. You’d be surprised how much these things matter, too.
If kaya mong mag-part-time or gain relevant experience while studying, especially sa small firms, take the opportunity if your circumstances allow it. Invest in your knowledge and skills early. By the time you graduate, you’ll have more than just a diploma to offer.
And please, don’t underestimate the value of having a good attitude. Be teachable, reliable, respectful, and willing to learn. Do your best wherever you are, even when the opportunity doesn’t seem that big yet. You never know what it might lead to.
I’m not saying this to promise that everything will be easy, but to remind you that you don’t have to wait until you become a CPA or finish a bridging program before you start building a career you’re proud of.
I’m a BSMA graduate, and I’m proof that there are opportunities out there for us, too. So if you’re doubting yourself right now, don’t give up before you’ve even tried.
Your course is not a dead end. Keep learning, keep improving, and give yourself a chance. One day, you’ll look back and realize that the things you were so worried about didn’t have to stop you from starting 🤍
Laban, mga manunuos ng bayan!

Hi guys! What’s keeping you busy these days after the boards? I just came home from St Jude and celebrated the feast with a mass. Madami rin ako nakita na “October 2026 CPAs” sa prayer wall kaya I prayed for good results and higher passing rate for us 🙏
Share ko lang din, di ko alam why I feel at peace right now. Kahit ang dami kong doubts, lalo kasi I randomly guessed some questions in FAR and AFAR. Since review days, I keep praying for peace of mind and strength lalo this waiting game. Idk what the result will be, but I choose to trust Lord and leave everything in His will 🥹
To all takers, I hope anxiety and overthinking is not taking up much of your minds. Acknowledge your efforts sa pagapply pa lang to stepping out of the testing sites. I’m proud of us for having the courage to take the boards and challenge yourselves. Sabi nga ni Sir Brad, “Sa mga first time takers, one take lang. Sa mga retakers, last take nyo na ‘to!” See you sa PICC 🥂
Padayon CPAs!! May we all receive what our heart desires ✨

Hi everyone! Ask ko lang kung ano mas okay in terms of teaching approach, online or f2f? Worth it ba mag-upgrade? Thank you!
