Store Review Disappointed with Third Love Bra store Spoiler

• Upvotes

I purchase bras from Third Love online store at least once or twice a year. They aren’t cheap but they are comfortable and fit well.
I ordered 3 bras last May. Unfortunately I got really sick with a serious health issue shortly before I received my order. The box of bras sat on my closet shelf until yesterday (unopened). It wasn’t a priority because I was not well and I ordered the size that I always order.
Thankfully I’m feeling much better now and I opened the box yesterday morning to try them on. I gained about 5 lbs since May due to my health issue Lo and behold the bras didn’t fit me properly. The band was tight on the last hook and I had under arm boob “spillage” bc I prob went up a cup size.
Ugh. I know they have a 60 day exchange/ return policy (the shipping is added at checkout should you need to return) and obviously that’s passed.
I reached out via chat yesterday and asked if I could exchange the bras for the proper size due to the extenuating circumstance (I even offered to pay shipping- again) They are new in the box with the tags attached. I told the agent that I have no family or friends to gift them to and I can’t afford to buy them outright again (U.S. medical bills 🙁) and “Annie” shut me down. She basically said that I was aware of the return policy (sent me the website link-umm I know… that’s why I’m asking for special consideration) and that they could offer me a discount if I repurchase the bras again.
I honestly don’t understand how they will not accept brand new, unworn merchandise with the tags still attached that I’m willing to return at no cost to them. They can easily be re-sold.
So I’m sad today. I guess I’ll donate them to a women’s’ shelter or post them on a Buy Nothing Facebook page.
Do you think I’m being unreasonable to ask for an exchange? Thanks for any input.

Question Still confused about the correct fit! Spoiler

Hi

I was looking at the fit guide on Elomi https://www.elomilingerie.com/uk/en/advice/get-the-perfect-fit/ - and wanted to ask if the information for the centre front is correct.

To me this bra looks like it’s sat lower down than it should and not in the IMF, as I believe the IMF is the crease underneath the breast. Also is the gore lay correctly? Again it looks quite low down to me.

I think I just have super short roots so I believe my IMF is really high up and that means lots of gores / wires are far too tall for me.

Still struggling to find a bra that fits like it should. Projected, short roots, full on top and calculator put me at a 36H/HH (been wearing mostly 36HH but still uncomfortable)

Question [Recommendations] Significant Weightloss 30D? Spoiler

• Upvotes

I have lost over 6.5stone (94lb), was 38E UK 18-20, now 30D? UK 8-10

On the leaning measurement I am literally golf balls in socks. So droopy, loads of skin, can hold a biro type of sag. All skin, hardly any breast tissue.

I also have a strange frame, years of curling my shoulders into my body, means I have excess skin on my back near armpits. I am trying to fix this at gym, to open my shoulder blades and not curl/slump.

Loose 31/79

Snug 30/76

Tight 29/75

Over 33?/ 85

Back 33/84

Lean 35?/89

Measurements in inches/centimetres. Not sure on lean as loads of air between boobs. So would appreciate measurement check as calculator suggested 30D/32C

Can anyone point me in the direction of a nice fit bra? For a bit of confidence.

Iirc from years back, Freya were always too wide, elomi matilda was lovely. But have breastfed, gained weight, lost more since.

Band fits, cups and whole front to narrow Spoiler

Soooo let me begin by saying sorry, because I only use european measurements (too lazy to convert tbh)

My problem is, that the bandsize 85 fits optimally, but the cups (c) are all wrong. They absolute width is too narrow, the are set a bit to a lot (depending on the brand) to close together.

I tried sister sizes....90 bands are just too lose and with 80 D the cup problem gets even worse.

Has anyone got any idea here?

Recommendations? [Recommendations] Calculated 44H/I, I’ve been wearing too small sports bras for years and want an actual bra! Spoiler

Hi y’all! The last time I had an actual bra that fit was a decade ago, since then I have gained weight, had a kid, etc. I’ve been living in sports bras that are far too small and dig in my rib cage and cut into my breasts as they spill out the top. I did the recommended calculator and came up with the following measurements (I did do this by myself and am pretty unconfident in the laying down number seeing as everyone’s is larger not smaller!)
Loose- 46
Snug- 44
Tight- 41.5
Standing- 53
Leaning- 58
Laying- 51
I am definitely a full on bottom or very full on bottom. My breasts are rather flat where they begin and all their weight hangs down like a tear drop. My unsupported cleavage is basically shaped like so
“ _) (_” they go out a diagonal and leave a lot of space in the middle. I am very much plus sized, but even leaning they do not touch. I am happy to answer any questions to the best of my ability! Looking for some bras to try and bonus points for an appropriate fitting sports bras rec too! Thank you 🖤

Question Starting HRT, What size bralette do I need? Spoiler

I am 3 months into HRT now, but still have a long way to go. Right now, my breasts are starting to come in, but are still relatively flat. I guess I fit in an XL shirt (male), so I was thinking that I need a XL bralette? But I am not too sure, I want something that will still be comfortable with my chest and protect it from various stuff. I can't say how many times I've accidentally hit my chest.

Thanks for the help

Measurement Check Calculated 6F size seems incorrect Spoiler

So I finally got around to using the calculator and it’s come back saying 6F-8E Aus sizing. My concern is that bras that size say the band is 58-67cm and my snug underbust measurement was 71cm.

I’m already wanting to move away from underwire bras because they feel uncomfortable on my underbust, so this recommendation seems like a step in the wrong direction.

Just seeking opinions on the accuracy of the fit from people of a similar size. For reference I’m 165cm and 53kg and currently wear a 12D.

*edited to add full measurements:
Loose underbust: 74cm
Snug underbust: 71cm
Tight underbust: 66cm
Standing: 87cm
Leaning: 92cm
Lying: 86cm

My tshirt size is anywhere from 8/XS to 12/Medium depending on the brand.

Recommendations? Looking For Supportive Bra Recommendations Spoiler

I’ve somewhat recently gained weight and also have worked a desk job for about 2 years. I’ve noticed myself having really bad posture and shoulder pain/nerve pain that I believe is being caused by my breasts. I took my measurements and used the calculator, and my correct size is a 34H, but I’ve been wearing a 34DDD.

I’m looking for recommendations that provide as much support/comfort as possible. I don’t care about looking “sexy” or the bra having lace or anything. Just something simple that will help with my shoulder and back pain. Maybe thicker straps as well to distribute the weight more evenly. Would prefer something $100 or less, but open to anything if it will help!

Thanks in advance!! :)

Fit help - Gore still lifting up on 32M Spoiler

Prior to pregnancy I was 32GG. I’m currently nursing and 6month postpartum. I used the calculator, but came out with 32HH/J - this did not sit right with me. These things are huge. I purchased 3 bras from Hot Milk 32M. I was so hopeful and excited for something to finally fit me- and here I am again, $200 and still not fitting right. The center gore continues to lift/pull away from my chest. My understanding is this indicates the cup is too small. I just don’t know how I could be so insanely sized that their largest cup still doesn’t fit me. Any suggestions???? Thank you fellow well-endowed ladies.

Loose Underbust: 32 inches
Snug Underbust: 31 inches
Tight Underbust: 30 inches
Standing Bust: 41.5 inches
Leaning Bust: 49 inches
Lying Bust: 43.5 inches

Question [Question] can anyone tell me if my bra-math is correct? Spoiler

Not adding my calculator measurements because this is a cheap Amazon bra that does not actually “fit” according to the calculator but it’s actually really close to what I’ve been searching for.

Basically, I tried on a bra my friend bought and couldn’t return. The bra is a 42DD. The cups fit PERFECTLY on my weird-shaped, post-mildly-botched-reduction breast tissue but the band fits only on the tightest row of hooks. I am interested in trying another size. Am I correct that since this is a matter of ratio, I should order a band size down and a cup size up?

Measurement Check Ive been wearing non-wired 36D, calculator says 34F, unsure if thats right Spoiler

Does it make any difference that Ive given birth? I could only breastfeed for 1 day, but my boobs ballooned as Id been producing since my 2nd trimester and I lost a lot of volume/shape - this was years ago.

Recently Ive been mostly wearing H&M non-wired bras in a 36D as theyve been all I can bear to wear all day, but they dont give much shape.

Im not sure if Ive maybe measured wrong and should redo it as this seems a big difference, or maybe Im just clueless 😅

My measurements are:

Loose UB: 85cm

Snug UB: 84cm

Tight UB: 79cm

Standing B: 100cm

Leaning B: 106cm

Lying B: 101.5cm

In terms of shape: not much top volume. When leaning nipples point slightly down, and a bit to outer sides and about 11 fingers between nipples.

If it helps Im 5'4" and a UK size 12-14

Will the calculator work properly if you have a cheat deformity? Spoiler

I have pectus carinatum so my breastbone protrudes much further than normal. Bras have always been difficult to fit properly. My breasts are very wide set, though they look fairly normal in a bra.

I'm almost back to my ideal weight, so I want to get a few good fitting bras after I stabilize there. I like the look and support of underwire bras, but they are always painful either on my ribs or my breast bone. I'm not sure if that's due to my bone structure or sizing. I tend to stick to more flexible options without pressure points.

I recently started wearing a knix bra I picked up a couple years ago. It is fully adjustable with lots of hook options for the back and on the straps. It fits OK, has a lot of support but some gaping along the top edge. I don't think they even make the type I have anymore.

I picked up a new measuring tape the other day but wondering if the calculator would even work on someone with my issues. Thought I'd ask before trying. Thanks

Measurement Check I usually wear a 42F, site says that a 36K (US)/ 36H (UK) and wanted to see if it made sense Spoiler

My main concern is that my chest gives me immense back + neck pain; bras either give me a 15 lb uniboob or if they’re compressed I straight up can’t breathe sometimes 😭 Loved ones have been urging me to get a bra for around the house but I can’t find any that truly fits. Redid my measurements today and got these results. Site says to size down for a better fit (34K/34HH) but I’m not sure.

Loose Underbust: 39
Snug Underbust: 36
Tight Underbust: 35
Standing Bust: 44
Leaning Bust: 52.5
Lying Bust: 48.5

Measurement Check I feel like I'm going crazy. Why is everything so hard to size? (Possibly 32I or J?) Spoiler

I truly feel like I am going crazy while bra shopping. I have always had a larger bust and a smaller frame, but for some reason, it is getting increasingly hard for me to find a bra that fits.

For context, I am in the United States (Oklahoma).
Measurements:
Underbust: 30
Overbust: 39.5 - 40.5

EDIT:
I used the calculator before posting but provided general measurements in the post. The calculator tells me a size that doesn’t consistently work so I was hesitant to post it. Here are the measurements without a bra:

Under bust tight 29
Underbust snug 30
Underbust loose 31

Standing 39
Leaning 43
Laying 40

I have naturally low-sitting breast tissue that makes me look saggy, and I have fullness at the bottom. I mean, I do sag a bit, but it’s made more dramatic by where my chest actually sits on my torso.
All that to say… according to my measurements, I should be around a 30GG in UK sizing (or a 30J in US sizing), right?

Most of the time a 30 band feels too tight, but sometimes a 32 is too loose. Other times a 34 fits just right. I’ve had luck with an occasional 32H, but a 32I gives me immediate quad-boob. I also tried a Freya 32J which seems to accommodate the tissue, but the band is so loose I have to wear it on the tightest hook, and the side wires go all the way up into my armpits, making it incredibly uncomfortable.
I used to wear Chantelle and Freya until Chantelle discontinued my favorite bra. I then gained weight which increased my cup size dramatically (I was a 30G in US sizing before). I know there are different cup shapes, and I feel like my breast tissue fits one that protrudes a little more. Soft cups seem to accommodate my tissue better because there is a little more stretch, but I don’t love the shape they give me or the lack of nipple hiding and smoothing. 😅
I wish I could try stuff on in person, but local stores don’t carry anything that works. The constant buy, try, return, refund cycle is taxing—both mentally and financially—and I’m sure it looks suspicious as hell to my bank.

I wish I could just chop 'em off and go back to a modest US 32G cup 😂 (in all honesty, probably smaller), but surgery is not something I can afford, nor could I take care of myself right now during recovery.

I’m just done and ready to not settle for “good enough, I guess.” I’m tired of wanting to cry after bra shopping and hating my chest.

Any help, suggestions, input, or even “you’re not alone” messages are genuinely appreciated.

Recommendations? Is there an UNLINED smooth bra that ONLY has extra padding on the nipple area? Spoiler

My breasts are too large so I don’t want any padding, but my unlined bras all show my nipples. And I hate having to put those nipple covers on UNDER my bra. Does anyone know if anyone has ever made this type of bra?

Recommendations? Suggestions please for short, narrow gore plunges in 34j Spoiler

Needing suggestions, Curvy Kate flare full plunge doesn't fit as well now I've lost weight, panache Ana too tall, wide and cups not a true J and that's the largest cup, does not fit like the below G cups. Sculptresse Roxie too tall and shallow, gore sits on tissue

Can barely fit a pinkie between breasts, nip position test suggests FoT to even, but very deflated and pendulous so tall cups definitely not good.

A tough ask I know :(

I'm in Australia so that limits things but local to Alexandra's Lingerie and can order online.

Today's measurements:

LUB 34

SUB 33

TUB 32.5

STB 47

LEB 50

LYB 45

34j, 32jj uk may be more supportive, but not planning on trying a 32 unless it's known to run loose.

TIA

Measurement Check measurement check - should i size up (e75 japan size) Spoiler

hi ! first time poster here. for starters, i am practically lost with bra fitting. i am aware of the basic information that one should know, but when it comes to applying it to myself, i'm not sure how it all works. i pretty much just go by feel—if i can use it okay, then that's all that matters. however i know that most (if not all) of my bras are ill-fitted, especially since i also recently gained weight.

majority of my bras (purchased in the philippines) range from 34c to 36c. they are also mostly underwire and push-up since my boobs are saggy and my mum told me i should get push-ups to help lift them. they fit me alright enough to wear out, but i do notice get some bit of spillage. i also think that the 36 band is too big for me.

i recently purchased a bra from tutuanna that i thought fit me okay in the fitting room. i first went for the sizes d70 and d75, but those didn't fit at all. d70 was just straight up small, but the band of the d75 bra fit me okay so i took note of that. i next tried e70. i initially thought that this might fit me since i own a triumph japan bra in e70 that i think fits me well, but this tutuanna e70 one didn't. i am aware that this runs pretty small, so a part of me kind of anticipated this moment.

so i then went for e75 since i remembered the d75 brand fit me okay. i ended up buying that size bra. i thought that it fit me fine overall, but now that i tried them on again at home, i'm now starting to see that maybe this e cup is still too small for me. for starters, the center part doesn't really touch my sternum. though i believe i can still put it to use, i can tell that this isn't my fit. i guess i really am not good at judging for myself. i probably should have asked someone like a staff member or a friend take a look at it for me.

i don't really have the energy to go visit another tutuanna physical store at the moment to fit some more sizes (i'm a pretty shy person), so i thought i'd go on this sub for now. i'm wondering if i should size up the cup to f ? because the 75 band fits me okay. or would the band fit be different for f75 compared to e75 since they're not sister sizes ? i'm not too sure.

just now i found an online listing of a brand-new tutuanna destiny bra being sold for a discounted prize in the size f75. i wanna purchase it thinking that maybe it would actually fit me, but idk.

here are photos of the bra i recently purchased (tutuanna destiny bra e75) : https://postimg.cc/gallery/fMfgWbr

bra size calculator (30d/30dd uk)

  • loose underbust - 77cm
  • snug underbust - 73cm
  • tight underbust - 70cm
  • standing bust - 86cm
  • leaning bust - 94cm
  • lying bust - 87cm
  • sizing system - uk

would appreciate any help. tyia !

Discussion Finally found a bra that fits (Panache Heidi) but it has been discontinued. I'm so sad Spoiler

I thought the Panache Heidi in 30E seemed to be a good fit, but the band is just a little too loose. 28F (with a non stretch extender) fixes the problem; I appear to be in-between 28 and 30.

28F seems to still be available in blue, but not red (my strongly preferred colour), and the size availability in general is quite limited everywhere I look. So I contacted Panache to ask about it, and they said the Heidi is a limited edition thing and they won't be restocking? :( https://postimg.cc/QHds3zvf

I hope it comes back at some point. Currently I'm just dealing with the 30E size issue by wearing it on the second hook, because I *really* love the red, but it still doesn't fit quite as nicely as the 28F, and of course it's not ideal in terms of longevity.

They did say it may come back through popular demand though if enough people contact them about it, and apparently many already have 👀 (this is my not so subtle request for others to ask Panache to bring the Heidi back lol)

(and here are my measurements in case anyone asks):

Loose underbust: 76cm/30 inches

Snug underbust: 74cm/29 inches

Tight underbust: 69cm/27 inches

Standing bust: 90cm/35.4 inches

Leaning bust: 103cm/40.5 inches

Lying bust: 90.5cm/35.63 inches

Recommendations? Looking for wireless bras that lift and separate big breasts (44F) Spoiler

I'm tired of spending almost $100 on a wired bra and the wire snaps within a month or so ( I rotate them and each one snaps eventually).

I don't want to go back to sports bras that smush my breasts together and offer no lift.

Is there a middle option. Something that offers more support and lift than a sports bra without wires?

I wear 44F.

I've been buying bras from Lane Bryant. They're extremely comfortable until the wire snaps.
