Does this look ok to you? I had it outside growing and when it got a little chilly I brought it inside to the tent. I use fertilizer and all organic soil. It has been growing since Early June.

A while ago, I met an elderly man at Roca Sola beach in Acapulco, Guerrero, Mexico.

We got talking, and he told me a story I haven't been able to stop thinking about.

He told me he used to grow cannabis in the region back in the 1960s and 70s, and that foreigners eventually became familiar with cannabis from the area under the name Acapulco Gold.

According to him, the hills where he grew his plants were eventually burned, destroying most of what he had cultivated. However, he claimed he managed to save one plant and continued propagating its descendants for decades, preserving what he believed was the original lineage.

Eventually, he gave me a seed that he says was harvested in 1992 from that lineage.

Obviously, I have no way to independently verify his story, and I'm not claiming this seed is definitively an authentic Acapulco Gold. Still, I found it fascinating that someone who says he spent decades preserving an old local line would give a seed to a complete stranger.

For me, the seed is meaningful regardless of whether every detail of the story checks out. It's a tiny piece of local history that may otherwise have disappeared, passed from one person to another over decades.

For context, I actually live in Acapulco, Guerrero, so it's kind of hilarious to think that something supposedly so legendary about my own city could somehow end up in my hands. LOL. I never expected to hear a story like this from someone I randomly met at a local beach, let alone walk away with a seed connected to it.

The thing is, I'd really like to plant it, but I honestly don't have a suitable space to grow cannabis right now.

What would you recommend I do with it? Should I try to preserve it until I have the space to grow it, or is there something else I could do? I'd hate to lose it, especially considering the story behind it.

I'd also love to hear from anyone familiar with the history of Acapulco Gold or old Mexican cannabis landraces. Has anyone heard similar stories from growers in the region?

I know a story isn't proof, but I thought it was worth sharing.

Cracked the camera so hopefully pics are decent enough. Made family meal for the after shift. Taste:
A strong gorilla glue coats the mouth, with a slight cosmic brownie with just the sprinkles. It has a ton of depth to this, extremely complex and hard to narrow down every note. Pure dank delight each dab!

Consistency:
Came a perfect butter surviving the heat, an ever so slight press got this looking incredible!

Effects:
I got a strong mental high that creeps up, the more you dab the more sedated you get until sleep is a must. A good hybrid indica that’s extremely potent. Good for those with anxiety/ptsd/insomnia/depression! Amazing for strong medical effects.

Overall:
This is one is definitely geared to those who like old OG strains. strong gorilla glue with a mix of nostalgia, made this to my top 10 list easily! Terps exploding from the jar, always the strongest stuff with Magic Meltz! New drop today def gonna scoop more up to review!
