Look we've all heard about the story about the 2,222 cards deck. Nicknamed "Mischen: Impossible" ("Shuffling: Impossible" in German, thank you u/Rigshaw for pointing it out!), it showed up in the 2007 German Nationals and caught the eye of everyone in the room, whether they wanted to or not.

But looking at the decklist, it was mostly consisting of 3 of every semi-playable card that had been released up to this point. Yu-Gi-Oh had around 3000 cards printed back then, and we're well over 15,000 cards in the TCG now. In theory, this means a muuuuch bigger pool to draw inspiration from.

So the question is: how do you build a 2,222 cards deck that respects the current banlist and is still (somewhat) playable? I think the best way to do so is probably to take a glance at Warrior-centric strats given all the archetypes and tools available to them, but I'm open to other ideas.

I kinda made this post because I want to see how many cards seemed good at a glance but end up being terrible, in general or because of an interaction you didn't see coming until actually trying the card (or lack thereof in my case lol). Let me start with a story of me trying to look for melodious tech:

I have a melodious deck I built in master duel. I'm fairly certain the deck doesn't make it to even rogue tier in any current formats, but I play it because it's fun.

Regardless, I was messing around in the deckbuilder looking for any sort of tech melodious can use to improve the endboard. I cane across the trap you see here illusion. I thought to myself, hold on this could actually be goated, why does no one run this? It's searchable by couplet and depending on the hand I could get by without concerto, it seems worth it because that way they will have even fewer outs to my lock!

I put it in the deck and tried it out in a solo mode.

Did my combo. Made the trap with etoile and aria. Bot casts raigeki. I don't even get the option to activate the trap. I was baffled, I thought there was some lock I missed or forgot about. Until I read the trap again.

**Target**. A trap that targets. For the deck known for making a nontargetting lock.

This game is just unfair to old archetypes sometimes.

Honourable mention: shiranui spectralsword would have made shiranui squire a great starter for the deck but for some reason konami decided that you can't use the trigger effects in the grave same turn you dump it. Funny

How on earth did they expect us to take Zarc seriously when he looks like a teenage Gargoyle with clown goggles.

And yes, I’m fully aware of the production problems Arc-V had, the fact that the animators didn’t even know what they were supposed to be drawing was crazy as hell lmao.

But regardless, it’s still crazy that the version we got actually got approved lmfaooooo, especially when we already had a great design from the 126 flashbacks and all they needed to do was basically draw a face at that point

I been playing a lot of Clown Crew Slifer the sky dragon deck and I gotta say it’s an absolute blast, so when I found out I could get this deck IRL for only like $45? I jumped on it!! So that brings me to my question what other current strategies for rogue that feel fresh and fun and are cheap for you?

During the final fight yugi summoned back all 3 Egyptian gods and they hit this crazy stance …and basically I’m just wondering if they made it into a card or not bc I haven’t seen anything like it on cardboard yet.

Recently I bought some of the Speed Duel Gx boxes and I had a blast with friends. The quick set-up and play with lower powered anime decks was incredibly fun.

I keep thinking in ways to create new decks, and how to tailor the existing ones with a few new cards (for example adding Chaos Distill to Amnael's).

If anyone misses old style yugioh and would like to convince friends to play, this is an excellent way to do so!

The new unchained support is comeing out in about 3 weeks, what are your thoughts on it?, i personally think its good (especially combined with fiendsmith) but idk if it'll even be meta, cus it does die to nibiru, but i do think its going to be a decent deck now that it has a normal summon and more starters/extenders, and its grind game is gonna be much better, I just dont think its gonna be meta though sadly depending on how things go, but what are your thoughts?

Im personally planning to play it, I know ill lose alot since my locals plays nothing but meta, but I at least want to enjoy the deck, it looks fun and I like the playstyle, as long as I can have fun with it then im gonna try it out

Hey guys, this is my effort to make some crafts of overframe cards! I met a lot saying that they need more artists in Yugioh, they already saw too many PKM and MTG art. As someone play Yugioh as the only favourite card game, let me contribute my humble art to the Yugioh community :33 If mods allow, I will post more of my recent crafts weekly!

I have no personal care for Bakura's deck as a whole, but I am big on Konami Giving decks the modern upgrades they need. Its almost certain Kaiba is getting this next cover, but Bakura... his fate currently hangs in the Balance.

If DM is really done after this year, it would be such a missed opportunity to not have all the main cast be able to bought into the modern game with updated decks before moving on to another series. Immortal Phoenix showed that it is possible for DM characters to occupy both the 10 card remake slots. If Konami Follows through like they should, by January, all the DM characters would now have been bought into the modern era of dueling!

Let's be clear: when Konami TCG designed this archetype, they thought it was a good idea to base it around continuous burn damage and floodgates, even though those are some of the things the community hates the most.

They couldn't include some of the archetype's cards on the recent Forbidden & Limited List because it's still a new product. At the end of the day, no matter how much people criticize them, they're a business. They need to make money or there is no card game. However, just because they didn't touch the deck now doesn't mean they won't do so in the future.

Yes, Angelechy can be countered, and there are plenty of cards that deal with it when you're going second. The issue, however, is that sometimes it isn't a deck's power level that makes people hate it, but rather the kind of gameplay experience it creates.

Just remember Tenpai, Runick, and Kashtira:

A) Tenpai is frustrating because its Field Spell is essentially a floodgate that says, "You can't do anything to my Dragons."

B) Runick relied on numerous floodgates that protected Hugin while continuously recovering resources thanks to its Field Spell.

The icing on the cake was its banish-based deck depletion strategy, permanently removing a large portion of your resources.

C) The third deck boils down to face-down banishing and regular banishing enforced through floodgates.

Let's add another point here, one that serves as a warning sign that Angelechy may be hit severely: following the decline in tournament attendance, Konami appears eager to step forward and show that they are willing to address problems within the game, including floodgates.

Therefore, a deck built around precisely the mechanics described above, one that is unpopular and has already completed its sales cycle, does not seem to have a bright future ahead of it. This stands in contrast to Mitsurugi, whose survival lasted quite a long time by the standards of a competitive deck that could be splashed into nearly any existing archetype.

I somehow never gotten this pose of Goemon when I log on for Konami's website, specifically the Duelist Points one. Thought to share this, cause I find the glow-up so cool.

Though thats probably just the whole absorbing counterparts and becoming a monster thing they both have anyways zarc should use visas as a secondary deck

At the start of Each year, we get a VBEX book that has two promos. For many years, it only gave 1 card to 2 out of the 4 core booster cover characters for that recent year.

For example, EX4 gave us Phantom of Yubel, and Archfiend's advent for shining sarc. VBEX 6 changed the pattern slightly by choosing 2 non cover archetypes that got support that year from the core sets. We ended up getting Black rose Assault mode and the new Predaplant fusion guy. VBEX 7 Should also get 2.

If konami is playing the long game, that could be the Baby Dragon retrain there or even possibly a flame swordsman retrain for Dark time wizard or some other random card he won off someone lol.

Some of you might remember Yugioh BAM Pocket, the mobile version of the Facebook game Yugioh BAM. It went offline in 2016 and has been unplayable since because it needed Konamis servers to download game data and a Facebook login.

I made the game playable again on new Android phones (without root) including a custom server. The original game is repackaged (including the Adobe AIR runtime) and talks to that custom server instead. Facebook login is replaced with a simple username + password so that even multiplayer features are available. The game will download its assets on first launch, so no need for any root, emulators, or other roundabout methods.

What works:

• Story mode, deck editing, shop, crafting, objectives
• Online saves (keep your saves cross device and after reinstall)
• Friends, friend duels, friend help
• Arena with daily opponents, win streaks and leaderboards
• Teams and tournament sign up
• Everything in the cash shop is free, including BAM Pro and any currencies, theres no payment code in the build at all
• Offline play without an account

Not yet: Live PvP duels and tournament matches.

How to play: download the APK from the Github releases and install it. Needs a 64bit Android phone. If you still have the old original app installed, uninstall it first.

Its a free, non commercial fan project for preservation. Its not affiliated with Konami and nothing is sold. The server and tooling are open source so you can host your own server and build your own apk if you want.

It is not even a rogue deck, and I cant find the reason. The deck has mutiple one card combos, it can resist quite a few handtraps, and it allows to mix mutiple archetypes.

I played a few tests, and with a single card you can get and end board with: 1 tower that wont let your opponent add cards to hand, and steal cards from the deck. 1 field that basically lets him summon two times from the extra unless he plays numbers. 1 counter trap omninegate that also boost your boss monsters, and let you special summon two monsters from GY. 1 Tower that let you steal monsters, block target to other monsters, and protect from destruction... and you still get a free XYZ rank 4 summon. Also... whatever handtraps you managed to draw at turn 1.

Like, you are getting a Dragon Thunder Colossus and a Shaddol Winda without issue, also more than one way to protect them againts boardbreakers like Ligthing Storm. The main weakness if your opponent opening with Nib, and knowing the exact moment to use it.

The endboard below is also a pure one, if you wanna push it further, you can play them with Ryzeal and gain mutiple chain locks.

My only gripe with the deck, is that on the current meta most decks can fufill the 4 atributes and spell banish.

Obviously this is a moot point because protagonists tend to get archetypes made specifically for them, but just for funsies.

Bonus points if it's not a warrior, dragon or Spellcaster. Personally I feel like R.B would be a good fit. They've got a similar underdog vibe to junk and their gimmick of attaching limbs to their big link for different effects would lend itself well to the traditional 'pull a new card out from nowhere to win the duel you were previously losing' episode structure.
