Getting a "failed to mount drive" error when trying to access my old windows drive. I've been able to access it before, now what?

I have Xubuntu running a media server for my home and recently the power went out.

The way the PC is set up is I have Xubuntu on a small drive and an old windows hard drive that stores all my media that I usually just mount and access for movies and music and stuff.

I cannot access it now and I don't know how to go forward.

It's worked like this for months, why did it stop now??

Edited: couldn't figure it out. Piggybacked the HD off a Windows computer, moved the files and flashed the drive.

It "just works" tho right?

It says error mounting /dev/sda2 at /run/media/user/windows: wrong fs type, blah blah blah

perform file-system checks on the file-system(s), if any issues are found on your unstated file-system (and fixed as a result) you'll find normal mount's will work after that.

If the file-system is NTFS (you don't specify, but do mention an old windows drive), you're actually best fixing the issue where the fs is native (ie. via MS-DOS or Windows; side effect of that fs choice); though some issues can be fixed using ntfsfix etc.

Ok.

Any guides for this?
