Do you like seeing a more extreme/supremacist depiction of Magneto, do you not like the idea at all, or do you just dislike how it was done?
How do you feel about his treatment of ultimate Wanda and Pietro?
Is he one of the better or worse parts of the ultimate X-Men?
How uhh... how do feel about the little, implied cannibalism part?

I know people weren't the biggest fan of them but, I kind of like them.
My idea would be that rather than them being related to his adamantium, it's instead a more biological ability.
The effect would be that while while they're glowing anything he cuts doesn't regenerate, rather than just being burnt, it actively screws over other healing factors, with the main weakness being that after using it the accelerated regeneration of his own healing factor stops working for a while.
Makes it possible for him to kill regenerators but also makes himself easier to kill afterwards.

Purely hypothetically and unrelated to any perticular game, if he had to be a hero in some sort of team pvp game, what kind of playstyle/role would you want him to have?

I'm genuinely confused about why some people online have started the buzz about Jean becoming a possible love interest of Peter after her introduction in Spiderman: Brand New Day! Even in the comics, we see that both of them have a sibling dynamic between them, which would be a wonderful way to adapt in the MCU while also developing her connection to Scott over time and their eventual pairing as a couple as they get older.

Iron Man’s 3 Solo films from 2008-2013 made $2.421 billion.
Wolverine’s 3 Solo films from 2009 to 2017 made $1.406 billion.
For the longest time Iron Man was not as popular than Wolverine, so how did this happen and was it shocking?

Hear me out. Old Man Phoenix (and as Dark Phoenix) is an actual Marvel Comics concept, and introducing the Phoenix Force through Logan could give the MCU a fresh take on one of Marvel’s most iconic cosmic powers.
Obviously, Jean Grey is the iconic Phoenix host, and I wouldn’t want to lose that connection. But Jean doesn’t need the Phoenix Force to be an absolute badass. She already is. She’s an Omega-level mutant with incredible telepathic and telekinetic potential. Marvel could establish just how powerful Jean is on her own before eventually exploring her connection to the Phoenix.
Which would you rather see?
Jean Grey, first: The classic Phoenix storyline.
Wolverine first: Logan becomes a Phoenix host, while Jean develops into a powerhouse in her own right before her eventual Phoenix story.
I know Jean is the iconic choice, but I think Wolverine as Phoenix could be an incredible curveball.
Would you be open to it, or should the Phoenix always be introduced through Jean?

Given these guys are slightly different versions of the Foxverse incarnations and Jean and Storm were huge players in those movies, how different will the continuity be?
My personal theory is that these guys will be from a version of the new DOFP timeline that lead into an off-screen Phoenix storyline.
But who knows if they’ll bother explaining it with the new movie in 2028. What do you guys think?

Hey everyone,
I’ve started reading comics earlier this year and started to pick up the current X-men and Uncanny X-Men runs. (X-men 32 and uncanny 33 is where I started) I’ve always liked the X-men movies and animated series and most of the well known characters. However after a few issues I realized there were sooo many characters I never heard of or knew little to nothing about (such as Monet and Kid Omega)
I decided to hold off on reading the current X-men comics and start with Morrison’s New X-men and Whedon’s Astonishing X-Men and use that as a starting point to get my knowledge up to date for the current runs.
At this point, I’m in the middle of manifest destiny and I feel like I’ve been reading X-Men comics that released in 2008 for what feels like an eternity. Does anyone have any advice on how to push through what is probably another 1000 issues until I make it to the current runs? For example, I’ve been bouncing back and forth between X-men, uncanny X-men, cable, wolverine, young X-men, X-men legacy, X-Force, etc, it’s just been sooo much back and forth it’s becoming a bit draining.
I’ve came up with a few ideas to help myself out and I’m wondering what everyone’s thoughts are on them.
-Start reading the current runs from issue 1?
-Start reading Hickmans era and go from there to the current runs?
-Try to find a more streamlined reading I order to follow so I can make it to the current runs sooner?
Any and all advice is appreciated! I apologize to the mods if this type of post is not allowed!

To begin with, I know there is a topic that has a reading order. I feel like it adds more confusion to me than anything else.
Look, I love all these characters. I have read a majority of Claremont's 20 year run, I liked New X Men, Astonishing was fine, I loved Second Coming and I absolutely hated all the Bendis trash and the over focus on Scott being a revolutionary.
I realize X Men is in a rut and they needed to do something like this again, lest we just devolve into John Byrne's Elsenwhen's where the X Men are just fighting Master Mold again.
But my biggest problem with X Men is how big the title got and how it became too big to share the Marvel Universe. I got the Age of Krakoa Omnibus because I like Kieron Gillen, I like Sinister, and I read House/Powers of X so I'm familiar with the concept.
And I'm following along decently enough, but this really is in the middle of everything and I'm intrigued on what I missed. But the Omnibi are all expensive, and seem like they include EVERYTHING. Is everything truly necessary? I guess there's no comprehensive Omni's, so if I want to read it like this I have to, but is there no other way to enjoy these stories? Is Age of Krakoa stand alone? What about X of Swords?

Hepzibah: cool that not every member of the X-Men is a mutant. Not sure how I feel about the redesign since her original look is very dated looking but now I feel like they changed her to look more sexy than anything else.
Pixie: no notes or criticism’s she’s adorable and perfect and I love her.
Sunspot: it’s cool that even though his power is heat/ sun based they don’t go for the generic on fire look. Reminds me of NRG from Ben 10.
Karma: another Telepath but the way her powers are visualised is pretty cool looking.
Aurora: while not portrayed the best at first I like how her DID is handled later and it’s not just the offensive evil alter cliche.

I’ve been a Gambit fan ever since I watched him on the Saturday morning cartoon line-up and was really excited when they finally added him to Rivals. He’s my go-to, whenever he isn’t banned anyway.

I loved this event; I think I understand why it’s so popular, as it wrapped up a whole bunch of plot threads
It also showed just how meticulous, ruthless, and manipulative Mr. Sinister really is.
(Though I still don’t get how the hell the X-Men survived the explosion and the collapse of the entire mansion...)
Anyway, the fight against N'astirh, the confrontation between Madelyne and Jean, the clash between X-Factor and the X-Men, and their eventual alliance against the Goblin Queen it was all great.
It was also satisfying to see Illyana finally get some closure. I’m not entirely thrilled that she was reborn as a child, but it’s a happy ending for her perhaps even what she deserved, given that Belasco stole her childhood and considering everything she went through.
By the way, I felt the art in Uncanny X-Men was superior to that in X-Factor, New Mutants, and X-Terminators. I don’t understand why they didn’t hire a better artist for this event someone like Alan Davis from Excalibur.
(Then again, what do I know? I’m no expert on artists, after all.)

I’m having a tough choice choosing between messiah trilogy omnibus or the dawn of x omnibus as these two eras are my favorite eras of X-men. Do you think I should wait for marvel to release a more comprehensive reading for the messiah trilogy era or just go for the dawn of x Omni ?
