I used to believe that the slim was actually a lot bigger but this comparison has changed my perspective

I'm porting Five Nights at Candy's to the Xbox 360. So far it's going well. It'll probably take a while to release because of university.

So far I have the main menu and a few other things ready.

Would love to play it on 360 considering I don't own the current gen

I thought the warranty sticker looked a little weird..? it has some what looks like old sticker residue, plus a little hole. I bought it used a couple of years ago and have been using it ever since.

So I recently went to a thrift store and found a complete Xbox 360 with a hard drive, 3 controllers, and a copy of Halo 3 and Fable 3 for $35 (Huge Win!!!)

When I got home I tested it and the only issue it has is the disc drive having trouble initially reading whatever disc is inserted into the drive, one of the times it worked was when I rapidly tapped my fingers onto the top of the drive which caused the disc drive to read the disc and boot the game just fine, does anyone know what the issue im experiencing is? And would the fix be either replacing just the laser or replacing the whole drive?

Also for reference the troubleshooting ive tried has been:

- cleaning the disc drive

- trying multiple known working discs

- tapping on the disc drive as its initially reading said disc

Looking back on this out, I am curious. I am not asking for advice on such behaviour, this is a retrospect question asked out of nostalgia.

Did any of you or your friends try it?

I doubt it work would now as I'm sure MS caught onto such acts, and gamertags would logically have to be violating for action to be taken anyway.

Hey everyone, hoping someone with Jasper board experience can point me in the right direction.

What I’ve done so far

My Jasper Xbox 360 threw RRoD with error code 0022. After I stripped it down to rework the thermal paste I received error 0022, and once I opened the console back up I found a surface‑mount resistor knocked off near the GPU. I scavenged a replacement resistor from an Xbox 360 Slim board and soldered it into place.

After reassembly I’m still getting consistent error 0022, and it occasionally boots to error 0020 — the 0020 fault only pops up rarely. I’ve carefully gone over the whole board with magnification and can’t find any other missing passive components, lifted pads or obvious broken traces anywhere else.

I’ve been wanting to play zombies again on my series X like B01 or 2 but can’t download the required profile. I don’t think I have to have gamepass and I can’t access 360 cause servers are down? Please help

Like many of you i decided to reapply thermal paste to my xbox 360.

I had just bought 2 beautiful Tonaskets and decided to dive right into the deep end having never done it before.

Biggest take away/ pro tip:

Dont torture yourself by using just isopropyl alcohol when removing the old thermal paste!

It will be easy they said, just a few q-tips and a little 99% come right off they said....67 q-tips later (I counted) i felt MAYBE 50% removed...mostly just kept smearing it around...was an absolute fight super annoying.

Get on amazon check some reddit posts...boom landed on this bad boy for $7.99. Arctic kit that has 6 cleaning wipes AND paste. I had already bought some MX-4 i just needed the wipes.

Now Arctic also sells these 2 bottles of cleaner. 1 is the stuff on the wipes and 1 is IPA im pretty sure. However it was $15-$20 depending on seller. They also have a big'o box of just the cleaning wipes but like how many does a guy really need.

In the end i found this kit most economical (it took me a single wipe) especially if you haven't bought paste yet. I think I spent nearly $6 on my mx-4 alone.

Made a huge diffrence cleaning took 10 seconds.

Some other pro tips...just splurge and buy the $5 X clap tool...I did it without one and it was a fight and a bit stressful.

Also splurge for a $5 shell opener...once again i did it without one, I was super carefull and still left a slight marring on case.

Today I’m going on a trip again. And that’s my 360 haul which I’m leaving at home

I have an Xbox 360 E console that worked up until I tried to use it today. It hasn’t been used in probably a year, but it was working fine. The controllers also both worked fine. Now, they are both just blinking rapidly when the guide button is pressed, and it seems like the sync button doesn’t do anything. The sync button makes the console power button blink rapidly as well, but won’t sync to the controllers. I have a video but cannot attach it here for some reason. Does this sound familiar to anyone? Is it worth buying new controllers or does it sound more like a console problem?

Hello my xbox 360 youtube app worked fine just few weeks ago, but now I can't even access it through opening while logged out and logging in through app, does anyone else have this issue?

I wonder if it's not because I cleared hard deive cache recently...

When I try to install dash launch with the new soft mod exploit it freezes

Since my new 360 arrived, (old one had rrod) had the old slim since it launched. I thought I'd continue my 360 collection, I paused for a while mainly game's that aren't backwards compatible but I will post a photo of my updated collection soon.
