Can't Write a Plot to Save Your Life? I've got a Literary Philosophy You're Going to LOVE
You, worldjerker! Do you have 1000 pages of needlessly complex and convoluted lore? Do you struggle to string together a coherent plot? Are character arcs anathema to you? I have a solution!
Introducing:
THE REGIONALIST NOVEL
Regionalism is a 19th-20th century literary philosophy that focuses on centralizing the story around a particular place and time, rather than an actual plot! If you just say you're doing regionalism, your lack of a coherent plot, meandering pace, and static characters go from flaws to features! You can just gently proceed through a tangentially-linked together collection of vignettes that can't really be disentangled from each other, and yet could also be arranged in any order, and if people go "Hey buddy this is meandering and lacks structure" you can just say something like "I'm challenging hegemonic ideals on the unity and coherence of the self and the literary form by putting forth an alternative framework in which the self is a constellation of associations and interpersonal relationships" and they can't do SHIT.

Is Lycanthropy Racist?
So if you have beastmen races in your world, and also have Lycanthropy is it racist to be like
"OHHHH NOOOO IM A WEREWOLF IM DOOMED!!!"
"Oooh nooo the horor of being part animal 😒"

Do you guys think that "Earl" could be the middle name of the Duke of Appalachia in my vaguely hillbilly inspired setting or is it too plain?

Ambatukam
Since I'm still making crossover fanfics/comics (and maybe adapt them into a webseries), I've decided to make my own MCU (the DeezNutz Universe) which is kinda rooted in meme culture and example of which is that ~~Africa~~ is called Ambatukam.
Also this is gonna be relevant to my world because one of my main OCs (despite living in a country called DeezNutz) is born in Cape Town, South Ambatukam (where he spent majority of his first 10 years of his life also in Durban, Bloemfontein, Pretoria, East London, Kimberley & Johannesburg).
The real reason is because in 2022 while watching an Ai poster compilation, I saw an Ambatukam movie poster (with Dreamybull & a mielie-what we call corn) which I thought had something to do with Africa and I thought Ambatukam was a word from an African language-Zulu, Hausa, Sotho, etc. I looked up what Ambatukam means but I got nothing. In 2025, I realized what Ambatukam actually meant, but I still call Africa Ambatukam because I thought it would be funny and good satire of Africa. Also I don't mean to offend anyone.
Also here's the canon etymology:
Ambatukam derived from proto-Bantu then Khoisan "Um-bat!o-!kom" meaning Land of "Bountiful/Great Fertility" because Ambatukam is the 2nd largest continent in size & population, and is also rich in minerals/resources & crops for Sugar Canes, Wheat, Barley & Cacao (mostly West Ambatukam).
Denonyms (shout out to u/Darkwing_414):
Prefix: Afro-: Amba-, Batu- (eg. Batu-American)
People:
Male: Ambatuman/Ambatumen
Female: Ambatuwoman/Ambatuwomen
Neutral: Ambatukan(s)
Adjective: Ambatukese
*Amba-Singh(s):
Amba- (prefix for Ambatukam) + Singh (Indian surname)
Translations:
French: Ambatocammé
Spanish/Italian: Umbatúkam
Portuguese: Ambatõcam
Zulu: iAmbatukam
*Indians (or anyone from the Indian subcontinent) living, born in Ambatukam (mostly in Southeast Ambatukam: South Ambatukam, Mauritius, Réunion (France), etc) or the descents of labours from the British Raj sent to Ambatukam are called Amba-Singhs.
Batu Khan (Dreamybull's ancestor) was canonically one of the most influential people in Ambatukam, beside Mandela, by inspiring decolonization. His last words were, "Viva Ambatukam!" prior to his assassination.
Everything about Ambatukam is the same as in the real life (there's still Saharan & Sub-Saharan Ambatukam; Morocco is the furthest Ambatukese nation in the world cup, 2022 Semis-4th place; Senegal are Ambatukese Champions; South Ambatukam being the first Ambatukese country to host a World Cup, etc), but with a few changes:
Mzansi is called South Ambatukam (sometimes the Republic of South Ambatukam) which won the most Rugby World Cups. My country used to be one of the few 1st world Ambtukese countries (besides Egypt, Algeria & Morocco) until our corrupt government screwed us into a 3rd world country (maybe 2nd world at best). Can Mzansi resurge into its glory days? We'll see.
The Central African Republic is now called the Central Ambtukese Republic (or Central Ambatu-Republic).
Also CAF stands for the Confederation of Ambatukese Football which hosts Ambatukam's version of the Euros: The AFCON Batucon/Ambatucon (AKA the Ambatukese Cup of Nations).
The African Union is now called the Ambatukese Union.
And Ubuntu is an Ambatukese philosophy that believes:
Whether you're Muslim, Traditional or Christian:
We are one as humans.
We look out for each other.
We are Ambatukam.
Please let me know if this is good writing.
