Workplace Challenges and Conflicts What happens now?

Not sure if anyone has any answers to this or has been through the same thing, but maybe a little insight? I dont know. I’m currently looking for another job but with this economy I can’t exactly quit right now and just wait for something to float along.

Long story short, the clinic I work for just lost all its nurses pretty much. We now have 7 doctors and only one nurse, one scheduler, and one insurance verification specialist. We only have an interim manager right now because our former quit 6 months ago and we haven’t hired another one besides one person managing two departments. This manager is about as present as someone’s dad going to get milk and the likelihood that we’ll have a meeting about this is slim. So now with all the nurses gone…what happens now? Has anyone in the healthcare field had this happen before?

Not talking about finding a new job, obviously I’m currently looking to do that and will continue applying but I mean…will clinic shut down or?

Oof that place is running on fumes. Seven doctors with one nurse is wild, like a whole football team with one waterboy.

My clinic had something similar couple years back, they just started piling the nurse duties onto the medical assistants until they quit too. Nobody ever called a meeting, we just showed up and figured out who was doing what that day.

Keep the paychecks coming while you can but don't stop sending applications, places like that can fold fast.
