He’s always watching 🌚

Lost her last fourth of july. I think someone stole her. Wish I could turn back time and see her again.

I got six year old, border-Aussie Holly from a farm foster when she was two, and I love her to bits. At home, she's cuddly, loving, and absolutely lazy (she's my carry-me-to-the-sheep dog). She gets about three hours of activity a day, mostly walking and training. She's in a matched-play full day of daycare once a week, and they report no problems.

The problem: Before I had her, Holly learned that other dogs are targets. On leash, she lunges and barks. Off leash (which is very rare), she will target a single dog and harass them with repeated charges. She's the Fun Police: any dog having fun will be spotted, and the fun (toy, stick, chase, etc) will be confiscated by force.

I've worked with three trainers so far, including aggressive dog training, for as long as a year each. The problem is that there is nothing, nothing that Holly wants more than to be a jerk. Negative feedback would need to rise to the level of abuse for it to be effective.

I would absolutely love to expand Holly's world, but I'm stumped. Can anyone offer some suggestions for new things I might try?

The groomer did a phenomenal job. I’m obsessed her little trim tushie! (She’s always had the long hair until now, so my kids thought she grew a tail at the groomers!)

My 2.5 yo Aussie boy had me laughing so hard today. I was waiting for my 27yo daughter to join me upstairs and so apparently was he. He was standing at the top of the stairs with his stub wiggling. Well, she wasn’t saying anything to him so he moved his bottom to the side so she could his his butt wiggle more.

My girl nova has developed a few of these weird scabs on her side near her belly and hind quarter. They kind of start as a hard scabs maybe 1/2" in size and eventually flake off into a red patch. She is very active outdoors playing in grass and rolling around. She had a similar patch before on her back and the vet said it was most likely a hot spot reccomend us to clean it with douxoS3 wipes. So I've been doing the same with these little spots aswell but being a worried dog dad im taking her to the vet again tomorrow to have these looked at, just wondering if anyone else has have seen this before, thank you for any help !

I can't explain how these two brothers have impacted our lives. I had no idea what this breed was about: the complex individuality, the distinct personalities (and yet, they live in *unison*, mirroring each other), the absolute joy in their faces, how they bounce around, the curiosity, the intelligence blended with goofiness. I've had Shepherds all my life, even an Aussie mix growing up (an absolute legend of a Bernese Aussie) and a Heeler. I've cherished every one of my beloved pups.

But *these guys* came into our lives, at a time when sorrow and loss were imminent, and even when they were tiny fluffy potatoes, both of them made it their life's mission to be as cute and loveable as possible.

To all of you with wigglebutts of your own, for ONCE we are all part of a club where joy waits for you at the end of the day, and those eyes--omigosh Pixar's got NOTHING on an Aussie looking at you like that. We are a happy club, constantly fighting the shed 🐰's, melting into cuddles, and finding our laughter again in their antics. I love seeing how many of us are connected through these bonds. Every single pup I see here makes me happy.
