My wife has always had an allergy to cats, but it has recently gotten much worse. We have tried Liveclear food, allergy shampoo, Pacagen, allergy spray and a few other things, but nothing seems to help. Is there anyone in the Portland area that would be interested in giving Kamila a great home? He is 4 years old, very loving and affectionate, and really smart. He comes with a top of the line automatic litterbox, automatic water fountain, all toys and accessories. One thing is that Kamila is declawed on the front claws. When he was tiny, he got tangled in curtains and had to have a surgery, so we opted to just do the front claws. Please let me know if you are interested. I would love for him to go to someone that already has experience with Devon Rex.
I just want to find the best home for Kamila. It kills me to have to do this.

Not sure if she claimed the blanket or if the blanket claimed her, but either way, it was love at first… nap?
She just spent half the day making biscuits on the blanket and then passed out from working so hard in the most silly (and cute) position. 🥹
She hasn’t been with us for very long, but we love her so, so much already. I’m amazed at how cuddly, funny and smart she is. 🩶🤎
(Also, she finally grew a few tiny whiskers!)

I’m looking for a reputable breeder in New England if possible. My Sphynx passed away not long ago and I know I’ll likely need to get on a waitlist so I’m planning ahead I suppose. Thanks in advance

I had two minor procedures back to back and this little girly has been glued to my side giving me healing purrs and cuddles. I just love her so much.

Hey everyone! I was curious to know what people use to wash their devon’s laundry (sweaters, blankets, beds, etc.) since they can be more susceptible to skin issues with their very short hair. I don’t necessarily mean an enzymatic detergent to nuke pet odors, but just to wash their stuff.
I’m not allergic to cats, but dust mites kick my butt year round, so I need to wash things pretty often, including pet stuff. Since I also happen to have absurdly sensitive skin, I figured I’d be careful with my cat’s laundry as well.
I currently use unscented baby laundry soap for my own laundry (by the brand Attitude) because it’s extremely gentle and hypoallergenic, so I was wondering if that would work. I just discovered PetTergent through a Google Search but it’s not available where I live.
Also, are light fragrances an absolute no go?
Feel free to share your advice! Thanks in advance!

My boy is 6 months old and a bit of a coward, his sister is completely different, she is super brave and curious. He is also kinda clumsy, and I have wondered if his eyesight is bad, aa that could explain why he's so nervous and clumsy, but he has no issues catching wand toys. My main concern with him tho is that he shakes a lot. He starts shaking whenever he seems to be nervous, and sometimes when it does not make sense to be nervous, like when he is eating. I know it is not because he's cold, he has started shaking simply from me taking him into the hallway of my apartment building in my arms, even though the hallway is heated. Does anyone know if this is common or something to look into? Thank you, from a slightly nervous first time owner

I've been interested to learn more about feline genetics for quite some time now-more specifically about Devon Rex genetics, like recessive traits and how to identify coat colors accurately. I'm intimidated by conflicting information, and the worry of sinking my time into false information, so I'm hoping to find someone who truly knows their stuff. I know the breeding community can be very exclusive, so I'm hoping someone can point me in the direction of a patient, willing and open-minded teacher that can educate me with love and respect- not only for the breed but for anyone willing to learn. Any leads are deeply appreciated! We all have to start somewhere!
