Help!

Small portions a few times a day in the orange bowl. Most importantly start now as he ages and grows so do the chances of bloat, or you could get preemptive surgery to reduce the chance of that occuring. I'd rather change his eating habits :)

Similar to what others have said... We did 3 meals a day until our guy was probably 6 months... And part of the training program we did (McCann online program) we used a portion of his meals as training rewards... Until he figured out he could hold out for better! 😂
Also, one of the things the training had us do was putting a small amount into his bowl by hand at a time so he gets used to having a human hand in there while he's eating.
All that made meal times take a while... For both puppy and us... But it worked out in the end.

Slow feeder, hand feeding, food games; enrichment, free treats, at least one meal a day he doesn’t have to “work for”. Saturate him by splitting up his allotment for the day in different mediums so food becomes less of a novelty.

I had a vet tell me to put a soup can in our dog's bowl..long before the commercial solutions were available

Mine both had alergic reations to plastic bowls, I got stainless steel slow feeders. Not as many options but works as intended.

We use a snuffle mat similar to this and it has worked wonderfully. We spread them out thoroughout the mat and both dogs take a lot more time to eat.

Mine have all been vacuums. When they are little, I make a game out of it and scatter their meal all over the carpet and make them search for all the kibble pieces. It’s nose work and meal time all in one.
When they are older, I feed twice a day, high quality food so less of it, and let them do what they do. This hasn’t led to any issues for us.

I used something similar to the orange bowl for wet food and a snuffle for dry food. I used puzzles too, but more for enrichment.

I have something similar to image 1 for mine. He also eats like a vacuum compared to my other Weim. Also we use elevated bowls due to them being barrel chested. I know there is a big debate on elevated or floor to reduce chance of bloat, but we have had good results using elevated.

Puedes le dar menos comida pero más tiempos del día. Eso y el plato rompecabezas ayudan a mi perro Duke cuando el estaba joven

Try pate and freeze it in the rubber lick mat before giving!
This should help you and I really believe in this one. And this kills two birds with one stone: first, your dog can't eat everyting too rapidly; secondly, it will calm her down as licking is one of the most effective tactics to calm puppies and even adult dogs down. I use something very similar but I freeze wet food: https://img.kwcdn.com/product/fancy/4462ed08-d7f7-40a1-bba8-52f4400987b4.jpg?imageMogr2/thumbnail/500x9999%3E/quality/60/format/webp
We never had problems with the speed, but mine was always very active and energized, so I always do it for her. I also give her a rubber mat with frozen pate when people come over so that she has something nice to eat and doesn't annoy people asking for food.

All of my dogs require slow feeder puzzle bowls, but my Weim gets the deepest and trickiest one because he is also a vacuum

My weim was the same as a puppy. She used a feeder bowl like the orange one for a few months and now she eats normally. I imagine they're used to competing with their litter mates. Once they realize food is available and plentiful they should chill out.

60 seconds? Our 9-year-old female eats a full bowl of food in 10 seconds flat. Slow feeder/puzzle bowl like this works great for us. Slows her down to 60 seconds…

Two things - raised feeding bowl and bowl 1 in your images

Can you tell me what the benefit of a raised feeding bowl is? I always wondered about that.

We gave our pup small portions at a time, thus reducing the rate at which he ate.
He is 6 months now and does not eat so fast.
Those bowls may work and they are good mind stimulation for your pup, so you slow his eating and give him some brain work.
