Finished Project October Overshot

Just finished with this modified shawl project from 2001 May/June Handwoven. I messed up big time with the threading, but I think the pattern is complex enough to cover a lot of sins. It’s a fine enough cloth to fold in half and wear like a normal scarf if a shawl is too much.

40/2 wool tabby at 40 epi with lace weight merino pattern thread. Finished project is 32 x 96 inches

Meant to be Krokbragd. I maaaaay have used too low an EPI (4) for the weft. Ah, well, not a bad effect so I'll keep going.

Other What could this tool be for?

I got a new loom from Facebook marketplace recently and it came with shuttles, warping sticks temple etc but this particular tool has me confused.

I’m torn between some kind of warping tension aid or maybe a raddle without measurements… Does anyone recognise it? 😄

Looms What is my loom missing?

Hello!

I am new here.

I got this loom at a local reuse store for a steal.

I can't tell what kind of loom or what is missing.

I BELIEVE it is a table loom.

From images I have seen I appear to have at least the warp beam, apron rod, and rear beam, and then the cloth beam, apron rod and front beam.

I know I am at least missing shuttles and the rigid heddle.

Help Weaving Car Upholstery Fabric

• Upvotes

Hi there! My husband is fixing up an old Porsche and wants to weave his own upholstery fabric for the seats. He even designed his own plaid pattern. I dabble in weaving and have two table looms (a rigid heddle and a Leclerc Dorothy), but don’t even know where to start with something like this. First, is it even possible?? If so, what type of thread/yarn would you use? Any more advice? TIA!

Looms Worsted weight pin loom

I have been using some new pin looms I got off Amazon and while I love them, I've noticed that weight 4 yarn tends to leave fairly large gaps and creates more of a mesh unless I triple up on the weave. Weight 5 works far better for me so far with these, but I have so much worsted yarn. Does anyone have any recommendations for pin looms that have the pins closer together for weight 4 or any tips for closing the gaps?
