Question New multimillionaire from tech, are you happier than before?

Many of us are working like hell to reach « financial freedom » and dream of joining or being in the next Palantir.

For those of you who made let’s say more than 2m$ in less than 5y and do not come from a wealthy family: Are you happier in your life now than when you had 100k$ on your bank account? Are we all wrong when considering reaching that amount of money will make us happier? Are we just creating new goals and anxieties over time?

As for me, I’m not happier than when I had 10 times less money. I’m scared of losing my money by when I had none, I wasn’t less happy than no. So all of it is vain?

Question For those that are wealthy in this sub, do you see more wealthy dentists or personal injury lawyers?

These are the two paths I’m interested in. Of course money isn’t the main motivator but I’d also like to ensure I get my return on it.

A lot of people say lawyers don’t make much compared to dentists which is true but you’re comparing apples to oranges because it’s often comparing self employed dentists to W2 attorneys. To keep it apples to apples, if you compare a self employed dentist to a self employed attorney, attorneys often win by a lot. And personal injury specifically can be very lucrative.

So I was just curious to see if anyone knows people in both professions and if they’re “wealthy”, middle class, etc.

Dentistry was great in the 70’s so older dentists are doing fine but with the massive school debt, etc. for these newer dentists, it seems to be becoming less worth it while law seems to have a much better debt to income ratio.
